I actaully didnt know anything about the AOR concept formally till yesterday however due to my needs I decided go on hunting for 0 % APR cc on my own two weeks ago and applied for card numbers 4 and 5 listed below, which kinda sucks given their BT fees but anyway this was solely based on which I got in mailbox and I was not cc offer savvy but then a friend of mine pointed me to this forum so I decided to expand my horizons a little more and do this methodically. below are my details ... please comment what can I do to change/improve my AOR
Experian vantageScore 855 (dont know whether its a FICO score or not) Don't own a house Rent: 575 $ Age : 30 Total Income : 85,000 Goal : BT and Interest income Criteria : 1) No BT fee , 2) at least a year worth of 0% APR, 3) No Annual Fee Not inetrested in rewards etc. it would be nice ...but dont want to research based on that as a primary criteria
Existing credit cards 1. AMEX Blue Rewards : since 2002 : Total CL 20000 : Cash advance limit : 400 2. Capital one Platinum No hassle miles : since 2005 I think : Total CL 20000 : Cash advance limit : 10000 3. Platinum plus (from fiacard services) : since 2005 I think : Total CL 2500 4. Premiure pass Citi Card: since now (2007): Total CL 12000 : 0% APR till Mar, 08 : BT fee: 3 % or 250 $ 5 Platinum plus (from fiacard services) : since now (2007): Total CL 12000 (CL here is due to reallocation from another Platinum plaus fiacard) : 0% APR till Feb, 08 : BT fee: 3 % or 250 $
Based on research here .. I plan to apply for below cards
6) Citi Diamond Preferred with offer code F1K7 - 0% until 5/1/07, untill 11/2007 if you call two purchases every month after to extend 0% until paid in full FW Thread LinkI like the sound of this card 0 % for APR give .01 transactions each month from paypal..this sounds very good
I want to apply for more citi cards but since a couple of people have mentioned that citi only allows 2 CC in 60 days duration and I already got premiure plus so dont want to apply for more citi cards..I dont like premire plus due to BT fee but I guess I am stuck with it unless I can consolidate from premure plus to diamond preferred (If I get it )
I dont think I will get enough CL on this because I already have two cc from fia card services and in past when I applied for the second one ...they decreaded my CL on the first one but anyways..so I am still debating on applying for this one
14) CitiBusiness PremierPass Card-------- $150 ---------------------- 0% for 12 months with no fee Just as a try...I may get rejected since I already applied for one citi cards and have aone already
15 ) Citi Professional SM Just as a try...I may get rejected since I already applied for one citi cards and have aone already
16) Citi simplicity Just as a try...I may get rejected since I already applied for one citi cards and have aone already
I also can use the links for some business cards ?

check the mega business card thread for more biz cards.. If you already applied for some, you better hurry before the accts show up and you get a bigger score hit. The AOR should be done ideally within 12hrs.

Polardude, Thanks for your reply... I have not applied anymore cards after I discovered AOR threads here... My experian report does show the enquiry from citi and FNB , there was no enquiry from fia, may be because I already had a card from them. I will checkout the Megabusiness thread.

no the AT&T universal rewards card does not count to the citi 2 cards in 60 days rule because it is a co-branded card

If you just started today, you could luck out because of the weekend. Juniper & BofA are known to report new accounts quick for instant approvals. I would research and apply quickly. There are lots of potential cards in the Mega biz card thread, my AOR thread, and the Penultimate CU thread.

WOW. This reminds me of a short essay Steve Martin wrote in The New Yorker a few years ago: "Times Roman Font Announces Shortage of Periods" Representatives of the popular Times Roman font recently announced a shortage of periods and have offered substitutes - such as inverted commas, exclamation marks, and semicolons - until the crisis is overcome by people such as yourself, who through creative management of surplus punctuation can perhaps allay the constant demand for periods, whose heavy usage in the last ten years (not only in English but in virtually every language in the world) is creating a burden on writers everywhere, thus generating a litany of comments, among them: "What the hell am I supposed to do without my periods? How am I going to write? Isn't this a terrible disaster? Are they crazy? Won't this just lead to misuse of other, less interesting punctuation???"(The rest is in the link above.)
