Nonaii said: AMEX allows reallocation from business to personal? With AMEX, you subscribe any cards you choose to your online account management. A week ago, there was an online tool to move credit lines among your various accounts. I used it to make a nice big IN:NY card last winter for a BT. I'd like to dress up my personal report further by reallocating more to the personal card, but the tool has disappeared this week, and last week it there but disabled. (but the disability may have been on my account because I made the mistake of requesting a CLI before I tried to reallocate) |

The recent increases for some are amazing since AMEX is reducing supposedly 1/2 of all credit lines----in many case to almost nothing. |

Knock on wood, but I just checked my available balances and they're still at the higher CLIs. The percentage of usage to available credit might be a big factor in who gets reduced and who doesn't. I have never gone above .02% of my available CL. (Not 2%, .02%) I have a hunch that AMEX might be reducing the CLs of their customers who carry higher balances. But that's just a hunch, worth probably nothing...who knows exactly what they're thinking or basing a decrease on. |
