None whatsoever. I am sure a huge portion of the deposits will stick at HSBC, don't you worry.

Zero.

Anybody know the routing number for HSBC? I'm still waiting for my checks in the mail.

When you got to the signature page did it prompt you to print anything out?? I didn't. The only thing I think it prompted me to print was the approval screen. Please tell me I didn't miss a step! I know usually you have to print out a signature card and mail it in.No, I think the only pages it prompted me to print were the "Application Decision" and "Application Summary" (last page). (Of course, I screen-print and save as JPGs just about everything else.) The signature page says "This authorization shall be deemed to be your signature for all legal purposes and shall have the same legal effect as if it were your original handwritten signature."

Unless you're funding by check, there's nothing to send in.

Can I link an account, remove the linking and then link another account.

Looks like this account is not going to be for day to day savings when I need to get money out quickly (no checks/high ATM fees) but the high interest rate is going to make up for that, and this account will fully replace HSBC.

Thanks op.

Can you ACH push/pull from another bank into/out of FNBO Direct?

I applied, but didn't get instant approval. I was told my application was being reviewed and I would be contacted about a decision in 2 days. Did it happen to anybody else? Maybe I have opened too many bank accounts lately.

From their T&C:

You agree that we may contact any source necessary and may obtain credit reports in connection with opening, maintaining and servicing your account and providing services to you.

From bankguy's blog

No hard credit inquiry (just a soft pull which doesn't affect credit score) (CSR)

What'll happen after Sep 28th?

Will anyone break the 6.00% barrier to compete?

I don't remember in my life a USA savings account ever paying more than 6%

From what I read, yes you can...usually they spell out if cant (like ELOAN)...I will be trying it towards the end of the week or early next week by pushing from etrade...if have a problem, I will post....

mhesidence, I read what BankGuy found from CSR...but that line still is in their T&C so I wanted to point out. I just opened one...will have to wait till tmw morning to find out if they did pull a hard.

My interpretation is that they do a soft pull, but their T&C discloses that they have the right to do a hard pull when necessary.

Let us know what's on Your credit report!

In the 2000 I believe ING Direct had a 6.50%APY for a short time.

HOT DAMN, they allow wire transfers! No more HSBC ACH BS delays! I will fund the account with $100 and then wire transfer the rest after the account is set up!!!!

thanks OP

Not to be a monday morning quarterback - but that might not have been a good idea.

If the account takes a day or two to open, then they might initiate the transfer on Thursday (today is Tuesday, (for future clarity)). Depending on how they do things, you might not be credited with the money until Monday.

They allow wire transfers. You're crazy if you use ACH with a lot of money. Just wire it.

How do you set up a wire transfer as opposed to an ACH transfer? I don't see an option anywhere.
