first time that's ever happened with a checking/savings/cc...hmm?
Maybe you messed up on entering your information?
They might do a soft credit pull, not sure. I know it said verifying information after I clicked the open account button.
If you mistyped something, maybe that is the problem? Try and call them.
it said they did a Chexsystems....not sure I even want to call for only $25. |

A pull on Chex for just a savings account? Argh! I think I'll have to pass on that... especially since some banks are pretty touchy with Chex inquiries (in the past, I missed out on a $75 bonus from WaMu because I had 2 inquiries on my ChexSystems report - no negs). |

I did a few other checking accounts in the last few days, must have been excessive inquiries or something. |

I went to the site mentioned in their response to me above and requested it, will it be mailed? It never indicated how they would be delivering it? |

Not counting today, I am on my 5th business day of waiting for the verification deposits. It is NOT 1-2 days to open the account. They took my initial deposit from my checking account within 48 hours, but it is not posted in the Savings Account as available or under a hold of any kind. It's probably best to open with as small a deposit as possible. |

That is because the initial deposit is held 5 or 10 (?) days since the funding account wasnt verified. The fact you can look in your Savings account and see it has not posted means your account has already been opened. You can do other deposits, added bank account links, etc even though the opening deposit hasnt posted yet. I know what you mean by your initial deposit not showing up anywhere within the savings account, but it will in a couple more days (and it will be dated properly too). Not sure why, but it is a transfer/deposit made outside the normal Quicktransfer system (using an unverified account) that causes this. |
