Just called Chase and got much the same. Reminder: New Targetted offer.
Questions/replys w/ CSR: How can I do balance transfer if I don't know my limit? Put them in and we may review/raise your limit to fit
Only place on application for 2 BTs. What if want/need more? She can do over phone
What if not a major cc, gas cc like an auto loan or HELOC? Give here billing addy and can maybe do
Will this come with BT checks? Yes but will have the 3%/75 max fee.
Asked to be transferred up the food chain and got nowhere. All supervisors were "busy" taking calls. Big surprise when there are this many problems. |

Just called Chase to re-allocate my CL. They did a hard pull for re-allocation. I requested BT/conv. checks and CSR offered to xfer $$ directly into my checking account, she just needed my routing #. Saves me a few days. She would not waive the $75 BT fee though. This is for a S0ny card I rec'd in Dec. I need to call Chase back to complete the BT.
Just called Chase again. They BT'd to my checking account. My CL was 18,500 after above re-allocation. CSR said "why not put all of it in there" but I kept util at 89%. BT is within 89 days of Sony card account opening, but CSR was reluctant to waive the BT fee of $75. He said he would note my account and if I was charged it I could call back in for possible refund. I'm not very hopeful but it's better than nothing.
Also applied and apprvd for this USAA credit card. Entire call took less than 3 mins. CSR said I would receive my card and $0 fee BT checks in 7 days. I plan on using 89% of that CL (~$22,000) and deposit all to USAA Performance First account. My first BT ever, so I'm just double checking everything. I was about to do an all-out AOR but decided against it for a few reasons. |

Considering the possibility of getting funds from cc using FOREX, I thought it would be useful to have a separate list of credit cards with promo APR for purchases. I have made such a list and appended it to the original list of cards with promo APR for BTs in the first post of this thread. I still can not use info about good cards submitted by members here or elsewhere...sorry... this is on my to-do list. And I do not have time right now to update Quick summary and wiki.... may be later. |

I didn't see the $75 cap, did they change it?
Yes, this has a $75 cap...I just did a BT on my new Star Wars card today...online it said 0% for your 1st 12 closing dates...but when I got the card it said 0% through Jan 2008 (which would be more like 9 months instead of 12)...I'm going to call BOA and see what they say.
Edit: After faxing in the Terms & Conditions from my online Star Wars card application, BofA did change the terms of my 0% deal from "Jan 2008" to "April 2008"....took several days after my fax before the changed terms showed up in my account online...I was just getting ready to call and complain again and then noticed it had finally been fixed. |

Just got a BOA offer in the mail: "Bank of America Platinum Plus Mastercard": 12 months, 0% on purchases and BTs, no balance transfer fee. Annoying because I just applied online for a BOA card with a balance transfer fee. (How do they handle multiple apps?)
Also, just got HSBC CashBack Mastercard, 12 months, 0% on BTs only, 3% fee.
Update: Called up, told them that I got a new offer with no BT fees. Said that I could apply for the new card and then consolidate balances. Called up and used invite number. Noticed that it said no new apps within 90 days. BUT the rep said no problem, that means app for THE SAME CARD. So since one was a BOA AMEX and this was a Platinum Plus Mastercard, not a problem. Here's the wackiest part: rep was very aggressive in getting me to include everyone in my "household" in my income, decided that I had a household income of 170k. Still only gave me a 7k limit. Will be consolidating as soon as I get the new card.
AMEX BOA was experian, but Pure Platinum was Transunion. |

Got a pre-approved offer from SunTrust today for 0% APR on purchases and BT's with NO-FEES on BT's for the 1st 3 months...same deal appears to be available on their website...NO FEES on BT's if your account is opened prior to May 1, 2007. I know SunTrust's card was serviced by FIA previously, but I'm thinking that may no longer be the case now...the letter I got seemed to indicate this was a new line of cards they were issuing, but I'm not sure who is behind them, or if SunTrust is doing it in-house.
EDIT ==> Found This ==> Cards are issued by InfiBank, N.A., Atlanta, GA 30305.
EDIT ==> a little more info on the SunTrust/InfiBank deal (yes, it is relatively new...guess SunTrust didn't like having a major competitor BOA service their cards)... http://www.infibank.com/news.php?article=161
Tried to link to credit card page but not successful...goto Suntrust.com, then Personal, then Credit Cards....
http://www.suntrust.com
Introductory 0% APR1 for 9 months on purchases from account opening
Introductory 0% APR1 for 9 months on balance transfers starting from the date of the first transfer (balance transfers must be made in the first 3 months from account opening)
In order to maintain these rates, you must make payments when due and stay within your credit limit. The Introductory 0% APR does not apply to cash advances. Payments are allocated to balances starting with the lowest APR first. The Balance Transfer Transaction Fee is the greater of $10 or 3% of the transaction. However, for Accounts opened prior to May 1, 2007, there are no Balance Transfer Transaction Fees for Balance Transfers made within the first 3 months after your Account is opened. |

Too bad there's no indication that the 9 month Suntrust deal has a cap on the 3% BT fee, otherwise it would be a decent deal. |

Did you attempt to read my post ? What part of "no Balance Transfer Transaction Fees" don't you understand ???
However, for Accounts opened prior to May 1, 2007, there are no Balance Transfer Transaction Fees for Balance Transfers made within the first 3 months after your Account is opened.
It's part of footnote 1 at the bottom of the page for the SunTrust Platinum Visa® with SunTrust Rewards. |

My score just returned to over 700 following an AOR a while ago, so perhaps that score's a trigger for this offer. |

Just chatted with BOA CSR and was offered this Link for the BT offer on BOA Plat Plus Mastercard.
I have two Visa cards with them. Can I transfer Credit Lines from my BOA Visas over to the MC?
Thanks |

Also, green for the link! No fee and capped fee have become harder to find with BoA. |

In another thread, markkundinger said:Where did you find a link to a Chase Business card with a 12 month BT? The Chase website only lists 6 months. I decided this thread was the more logical place to answer, so: Chase Bus 12 months
I don't remember where I found that link; it may just have been poking around the Chase site. Different cards offered at the same time have surprisingly different offers. |

Thanks

Does anyone know how many cards citi will allow (Personal and Business) if you are applying in a non-AOR fashion? |
