Considering the possibility of getting funds from cc using FOREX, I thought it would be useful to have a separate list of credit cards with promo APR for purchases. I have made such a list and appended it to the original list of cards with promo APR for BTs. I still can not use info about good cards submitted by members here or elsewhere...sorry... this is on my to-do list. And I do not have time right now to update Quick summary and wiki.

Update 3/23/07. I made an attempt here to combine card terms on the list to calculate and sort cards by the profit/savings due to a BT from a card with high APR (18%) to a low APR (cards on the list). I hope the new list is somewhat more useful because sorting the cards by the amount of saved money is more relevant. The list in OP was not changed.

Update on 3/22/07. About ten BofA credit cards were added. Unfortunately, most of them do not have an upper limit for balance transfer fee.

Warning on 3/8/07.
Since CardOffers.com does not make the difference between "no BT fee during a promo period" and "no BT fee when BT is requested with application", some of the cards (e.g. Discover cards) listed below with "no BT fee" apparently offer BT with no fees only if BT is submitted during the application. It will take me some time to fix the lists. Please read card terms on the card website before you apply if you need a card with no fees for BTs submitted during the promo period!

I added new column, Max BT fee, to the table in the OP. I have not changed the list of Personal credit cards in the Quick Summary and in the wiki article because I need to make sure somehow that I do not delete entries made by other members.

I also added lists of business and student credit cards

FW member mase found that some of these cards (e.g. Citibank one's) have fees for promo BTs when applied for from bank website (see below). Since the card terms were taken from a CardOffers.com template, I assume that you will be able to apply for a card with these exact terms from CardOffers.com website.

I have links to the corresponding CardOffers.com pages with card reviews on the "external page" mentioned in the OP, but I can not post them on FatWallet. I guess my advice would be to apply via CardOffers.com website.

Why do you even pay attention to this forum? Seriously, what do you get out of it? No matter how many disparaging comments you make against AORs (and granted, many of your arguments are valid), you will not be able to stop the AOR tsunami that dominates FW.

I added two more to the quick summary: the PNC personal card that Oranje mentioned, and this one:

Wachovia Visa Card (issued by FIA) - 0% BT for 6 months, no-fee if you use their convenience checks, otherwise 2%, max $50; apply by phone (800-WACHOVIA or 922-4684) or in-branch only.

On the Discover promotions at cardoffers.com, they are listed like this:
3%, $5 minimum, $50 maximum (does not apply to introductory offer)

You have them listed with Fee for BT = 0%. Do the terms really mean the BT Fee doesn't apply, or does that mean that the $50 maximum does not apply to the introductory offer? Big difference .

Now I have a question. As stated the Discover Business card has 0% on BT for 12 months. Yet, from my understanding on Discover website and cardoffers.com, the BT rate is 5.99% until 03/2008. I doubt the 0% introductory rate only applies on purchase. Can anyone verify this?
