You need to have a continental airlines account before applying, since you need to sign up for the gift account.

Go to: http://www.continental.com/web/en-us/apps/onepass/promotions/registrationDetails.aspx?promoCode=TB4M15&camp=ADHC&campyear=2007&sender=EMAIL_MKTG&language=EN&description=Chase

Click on the link to open a gift account and open one. Then register for this promo (promo code 54015).

You'll get the normal 15,000 Continental miles for opening the credit card, plus a $150 credit will be put into your gift account. That credit can be used towards a Continental ticket.

You have to make your first purchase by April 3 to qualify, so apply soon so you get the card in time.

Looking at my credit report, it appears First USA pulls TransUnion.

The card has fees: $85.00 for World cardmembers; $65.00 for Platinum cardmembers.

Depends on state and other factors. First USA has ALWAYS pulled Experian for me. I'm in MA.

No you don't. The minimum deposit is $25, but you don't need to deposit anything to open it.

Most of my Chase cards show up about a week or two after I apply. None has ever taken a month.

Chase always pulled Experian for me. I'm in MA too. Chase cards have a arrived at varried time ... 10 days flat to over 40 days! BoA is always late anyway. This is actually a very good deal, But i already got the card recently w/ 20K points. This offer is way better than the others. Green for you OP.

Anyone knows if Chase would refund the annual fee if you decide to close within your annual cycle?

if you close or convert account 2 month later will you get prorater refund of annual fee?
I know that chase continental check card would only refund annual fee if cancelled within 30 days.

offer says
5% discount++ on qualifying Continental flights you purchase using the card at continental.com for the next 12 months

is there a $ limit to 5% discount ( single purchase or purchase over 12 month )

thanks .

there is no limit to how much 5% discount you use. i already bought a couple thousand dollars worth of tickets, well worth the annual fee

There's no way around the annual fee is there? I've yet to see Continental offer a fee-free CC....

How long does it take to get the $150 flight credit posted to the gift account?

alert mods

There certainly is. My neighbor received an invitation letter that waives the fee for the first year.

great! does anybody have the code or offer letter? has anyone received their statement credit yet? is it good on any flight or does it have to be full fair coach?

I'm told my 5%/1% chase card can be converted to this card, but the frontline CSRs aren't sure about what would bonuses apply if that conversion were done--just that the "intro rate" would NOT be available for a "product trade", as they call it (even though in the past, I HAVE received an intro rate.)

I'm guessing it'd be tough getting either the bonus miles or the flight credit without the blessings of a manager...has anyone attempted this, and if so what were you able to get?
