Chase Freedom Card has $250 sign-up bonus now!! (for first-time user?)

When I went to the Rewards site I was able to put the $200 bonus in my cart
but not the $50......have to give them a call I guess.

yes I did not upplied during the promotional days but I kept fighting and finally they gave me the bonus as a courtesy.


I didn't receive my $200 bonus either after the close of the 1st statement.

After getting flak with her not understanding the program, she said I should get it on my next statement. I don't trust her advice.

HAS ANYONE GOTTEN THEIR BONUS $200 ON THE SECOND STATEMENT??????

You redeem $200 to get a $250 check. You can't add the $50 because you don't have enough Cash Back rewards.

Why is it questionable whether one will get the reward, if this application is offering it? It seems fairly straightforward that if it's available on their website, it will be honored.

Is there some complicating factor that I just don't understand?

Well that's the thing - that link isn't available "naturally" on Chase's website anywhere. It's specially constructed to pass in the right parameters to the flash file that cause it to display the $250 offer image.

It's already been almost 2 weeks since Baldrick posted that link and it still shows up with a $250 bonus. I don't think Chase would leave this offer live for 2 weeks straight, though I could be wrong..

Edit: Plus I don't know if you people that have signed up for the offer using that link noticed This what is that square and those "undefined" doing there? I don't remember seeing that when I used the OP's link...

Just got off the phone with Chase tech. They said the 250.00 offer was valid through today only, and that they don't have any promotions listed for May.

She looked at my application specifically and said that if I qualified for the card, I would get the 250.00 bonus.

After how much time you applied fot the card did you call chase and was notified you are approved?

I just called customer service. I've been approved, but with a CL much lower than I was expecting. Boo.

I asked the CSR about the sign-up promotion and she said she honestly has no idea what they're offering.

I applied on April 11, got the 30-day message. I have another Chase card, so I keep checking online for it to appear, no go. I've called the automated account status number about 4 times to check my app. Before today they said, "up to 30 days for processing". Today it said it's in underwriting, should have a decision within 7-10 days. What a load of crap, I have a good credit score, nothing bad, low utilization, and no new accounts in several months. I'm not impressed with Chase over this.

Also seems like some people are getting crap-o CL's. Why is it seeming like I got easier approvals back when I had mediocre scores and carried higher balances? Maybe they don't want business from folks who mostly pay in full and don't carry balances.

By the time I maybe get a card, they'll probably say I'm not eligible for the $250.

BTW I just checked my account online and it's showing $200.17 worth of rewards. Sadly, my statement has not closed yet (actually I think it may be in the process of closing) so I can't cash out. So this should put to an end any question of whether people with existing Chase cards qualified for it, since I have MANY Chase cards.

My statement finally closed yesterfay. I see the bonus money, but I cant add it to cart? I also have 2 other chase cards.

First used the card on the 13, statement already closed but didn't get the points. For those who got the points when was your first usage? When should I call to inquire about the points?

I was wonding those who did not get approval instantly, how did it take for chase to review and make decision? Alghough their web page says up to 30 days, I tried to call CS but was told they don't have permission to see what's going on to my account. Anyone has the experience to share?

Everytime I logon to the Chase website to check on my reward status the statement closing date changes. I will logout then login a minute later and the date fluctuates by 5 to 10 days...Has anyone else noticed this?

I got the 30 day message on April 10th. Finally, I see the card added in my online account. 6K limit. So, that's nearly 3 weeks from application to approval (no card yet).
