Funny, but no way BoA is giving out that card. Just got my first combined statement from BoA with my AAA/NEA added and noticed something I never saw before. It has an investment account that I have never used that was setup when I was a Fleet customer and saw under Investment part this, Annuity (Credit) 25,000.00 Have no idea what it is, Anybody here know? |

Scott, They have probably enrolled you into Premier Banking and Investments if your total deposts (FDIC and Non-FDIC) are greater thank 100k. I got enrolled by my FC when Fleet was purchased by Bank of America. From what I understand from their website Premier Banking and Investments is their bridge between standard customers and the Private Banking. I could be wrong on that one. |

I plan on calling them today to find out what that $25k credit is. I am not sure what Fleet put me into years ago when I did some big CD's. I know there was some sort of Investment account with Quick&Rieley. When BoA took them over I pretty much took out everything except the Min $2,500 to keep my relationship open. Have always gotten a big statement package every month, About 14 pages. I went back online and checked my previous few statements and that $25k was not there. So something changed with adding my AAA/NEA accounts. Just seems strange it's called an Annuity Credit? Hope they did not sneak something in on me |

Talked to my BofA PB today and he confirmed the details posted previously: launch in May, initially by invitation only, have to have at least $100K in deposits/investments with BofA. I told him to add me to the invitation list as I'm interested in comparing the card benefits for this product against the upcoming re-launch of Citi's Chairman card (which I have) and is supposed to be an AMEX card also. If the benefits are roughly the same, why pay Citi for something that can be had for free. |

LustfortheMoment, you remind me of those people that are haters and cockblockers since they can't get any and everyone ignores them and goes for their hot, smart, rich, cool, friends. |

Ferrari Chat is where I spent a lot of time when I had my Maserati. They have a good investment and business section. My conservative bank approach was not very popular there. Could just imagine if I brought up AoR's |

Sorry, but I'm out of town and don't have a scanner. I retyped just about everything in the brochure but the fine print.
There are a few things of interest in the fine print:
1.) Eligibility for free annual enrollment in Priority Pass and unlimited access to participating Priority Pass airport lounges is limited to primary Cardmembers only and is contingent upon meeting a minimum of $30,000 annual spend on the Bank of America Accolades American Express card or having a total of $200,000 (USD) in deposits or investments with Bank Of America
2.) Annual Fee: $295; The annual fee will be credited back to your account if you are an employee of Bank of America or a client of Family Wealth Advisors, The Private Bank, or Premier Banking and Investments when the fess is assessed. |

For my travel patterns, the Priority Pass membership is more valuable than AMEX platinum's program since it doesn't limit me to the lounge of the airline which I am flying. It's not unusual for certain lounges to be quite full, so with PP you can just find yourself an empty lounge without worrying about the airline that operates it. At the same time, it sounds like this version of PP only gets you in for free -- so your spouses/travel companions wouldn't be able to join you there. I hate that.
Also, it sounds like the Premier membership just allows you to get the annual fee waived on the card. The PP membership is only available (is only free?) if you maintain twice the amount required to qualify for Premier. Yes, the alternative $30K/year spending threshold is quite reasonable but these types of cards rarily offer very good rewards, so it'd probably make a lot more sense to use other reward cards with more advantageous reward structures.
I wonder what the companion ticket offers will be like. |

Thank you very much I talked to my Premier Rep today and asked about the card, He said he has it and thinks it's great. I don't travel so don't know much about travel card benefits but he said it gets you into those special lounges. He is emailing me info on the card and I will post it here as soon as I get it |

Thanks, nimbusdog. I'm not impressed with this card's offerings aside from the airport lounge availability. I know folks who would never spend $450 for an AMEX Platinum card but would readily use this new card if the fees are waived by BofA for PB customers. |

These cards are out of my league, but one feature of AMEX Platinum that seemed nice was the possibility for free companion tickets. Even with the markup on the initial plane ticket, these could be good deals.
That feature seems conspicuously absent from the BofA card.
But to be honest, I don't even know what the perks are that appeal to the high-rollers, besides airport lounge access. If I was spending $100k a year on a card, I'd much rather be getting 2% CashBack. |

Helps that I have not flown in over 20 years and have no plans to ever fly again, But I have more than enough with BoA to get the card fee free so would take it |
