kiasuchick said:Wow totally different game since May. B of A won't allow CL reallocation to 0% card. When I called their BT number, B of A was easily able to move all but $500 from all of my other B of A accounts. Try that number (which is listed in various threads here and also on the BT checks) and you may have better luck... |

Wanted to do some analysis now all the 0% is in place from Yodlee. US (0% and Nov Spending) CC Total Debt: $197,683.75 UK 0% CC Total Debt: $20,321.61 (£9,864.86) Total: $218,005.36 Total Sitting In Fidelity FSLXX: $205,568.05 Total Sitting In UK ING: $4,277.40 (£2,076.41) Total: $209,845.45 Shortfall: $8,159.91 Trying to figure out if it's worth taking some of my 0% 'til June/October 2008 US AOR money to pay off the UK 0% expiring in February or not. The exchange rate is horrendous. I think I will try to get another 0% card with capped fee, if there are any left. |

kiasu, maybe I missed it, but where did the shortfall in the GBP-denominated accounts come from? Is that card debt "real debt" or did something go wrong? |

It's "real debt" from when I was in college. Been moving it around for 6-7 years from one 0% card to another. I've been maxing 401k/Roth/paid car loan off instead of paying it down as the exchange rate keeps getting worse. I'm a positive $8k net worth now overall (up from -$31k in Jan this year) but that factors in ESPP and retirement. So it sucks. So close, but still a bit far from eliminating ALL debt. Knock on wood, no slip ups yet on the AOR front, six months on... |
