In addition to the WAMU Business, I've added one more card to my collection: The RevolutionCard. I was accepted today with a $1000 limit. Now, before anyone says anything, I didn't get it because its another card, nor did I get it for the $60 off $150 at Buy.com... I got it because I'm interested in the company. I think they can do a lot for the financial world, and if a lot of merchants start using it, I think I can see a decent boost to the economy, etc etc etc. They pulled from Equifax, so once again I dodged the Experian bullet. |

Congrats - but new account will drop your credit score. So the june wait may take a bit longer And please be honest with yourself - you got the card because you were recently approved for one and you wanted to try your luck again DiabloD3 said:In addition to the WAMU Business, I've added one more card to my collection: The RevolutionCard. My credit score already took a bump due to the average account age dropping, so another card won't drop it that much more. And no, I wasn't trying my lucky again... if I was, I'd go try Citi again. I really am interested in the company... if they can get tons of merchants to accept this card and it ends up being the majority of purchases for those merchants, this may lead to either lower prices or better service from those merchants. |

I wouldn't be so sure. Recently, my first new account dropped my EXP fako 5 points, and then the second new account dropped it extra 25 points. Let us know what your score is after BOTH new accounts show (and besides the age dropping there will be more "new credit" showing. I suddenly want to play the level up music from Dragon Warrior 1 on the NES. Updates: Eq 721 from 659 (highest in record, beating December 2007) TU 735 from 675 (highest in record, beating April 2007) Ex 716 from 633 (highest in record, beating April 2007) WAMU 656 from 609 (as usual, a month behind) All three reflect the same account information: no balances held except a little under $400 on the Amazon card, and the RevolutionCard has not appeared yet. Eq and TU both have one hard inquiry each, and Ex has 11, newest is in April 2007. Also, December's income seems to be very nice, about 25% over the average of the previous 11 months. So, now I'm just waiting for Ex inqs to fall off now.... I think. Or something. |

So, wait, what changed to boost the scores? Did one of the large balances report as paid off or something? If it wasn't that, then my only theory would be that maybe some of the cards's age (or average age on all cards) crossed some invisible threshold of score-happiness? |

markkundinger, there was a very subtle change, which I thought I had mentioned in the posts earlier this month (maybe I didnt): I BT'd everything on my Sony card (plus whatever was on my Amazon card at the time) to the WAMU Business card.... since this card does not report on my personal credit report, it looks like ~$2000 in debt went poof; this does, however, answer the earlier argument on if paying off in full my Sony alone would increase my score over 700, and I was right, it did do so. |

That's 60-80 points lower. |

That's 60-80 points lower. Nope, its exactly one month behind. I pull on the last day of the month, they pull on the first AND dont give it to me for about 15-20 days later. From what I've seen, the PFICO score is 15-25 points lower than my TU score (Wa.Mu pulls TU). So, last month I had a TU score of 675 and a PFICO score of 656. |

I've managed to wiggle Chase out of $500 more credit limit on my Amazon, and also move $500 to from my Sony. Amazon: $2000 Sony: $1000 And hopefully the hard hit on Eq won't do any damage to my score. Also, does the RevolutionCard not report to credit agencies or something? Edit: Before anyone says "No! What are you doing!", I still want a single credit card that I can run all my finances through... I'm slowly getting there. |

Well, I just had an interesting conversation with a credit specialist over at HSBC. I was denied for a CL (just asking them to match my Chase Amazon), and I called them up. Basically, if you never use their card, they won't CL you no matter how much other banks give you, or no mater how high your I managed to wiggle another 100 out of them, so they're now tied with WAMU for the most useless cards I have. Honestly, 100 increase wasn't worth the hard pull, but at least I got something. And since today is the end of the month, its time to update my scores. Equifax: 713 from 721 Experian: 710 from 716 TransUnion: 722 from 735 PFICO: 712 from 656. Scores are lower due to a 500 dollar balance on the Sony card (hey, I still have 0% APR left on it until the end of April). |

Just. Stop. Its not really an issue. Equifax and TU hit 0 again, so it was time to attempt squeezing something out of the banks again. |

Updated: Eq to 697 from 713 Ex to 696 from 716 TU to 697 from 725 PFICO to 702 from 712 Recent additions: So, I decided to try for a Citi card again, a Diamond Preferred Rewards card for the 5% in TY points for groceries among other things, and not only got it but a $4k limit; shortly after, Citi calls me and offers me a Citi Professional card, which I accept the offer and not only get it, but also get a $10k limit (JACKPOT). THEN HSBC sends me a letter offering me their new Household 2% CashBack card, which I applied for and received a $500 limit, and I've also requested that my other Household card to be merged into the new one (giving me a $1k line total, hopefully). The request is still in the queue. I currently have 1 Eq, 4 TU, and 11 Ex hard inquiries. My average card age is 10 months, and my total history is 1 year and 9 months long. The RevolutionCard has not appeared on my report, has anyone else seen this on their reports? |

The RevolutionCard has not appeared on my report, has anyone else seen this on their reports? 0 inq's to 4,1 WTG... After seeing the way you are handling this non-AOR and just being a serial cc applier, I doubt you will ever have the restraint to apply for a real AOR. Change the title of the thread to "I can't resist so I pull pull pull" |

Change the title of the thread to "I can't resist so I pull pull pull" Heh, as long as you've been here in FWF, you should really know better than to make ignorant comments like that. I've already said at least once in this thread that I'm waiting until all the Experian hard inquiries fall off, and now I'm also waiting for all the fallout from the mortgage to stop so high yield savings and CDs return and no-fee or very low cap BT offers return. Not only that, within 3 months those 4+1 inquires will be gone. Not only that, in less than 2 years, I've gone from a single $500 card to a $10k card plus $13k on the rest of my cards combined. |
