Yeah, it's been 12 weeks for me too. Anyone have a number they think will actually get me to someone that deals with promotions? I only go through the general chase people, and they been jerks and act like they don't know what's up.

Also - is there a minimum purchase price required to receive the statement credit? Someone last night told me that, but she didn't sound like she knew what was up either.

I made the purchase on 5/30/07.

HTH!

Was it a "random CSR" that you spoke with about this? The last one that I spoke with after I received my card indicated that he had no idea as to what the promotion was about..

I made my purchase, $4.50 at the post office, on 5/31/07. My online account just showed a $100 statement credit post. Time to use the card for my next $100 of purchases I was going to make anyways. Thanks OP!

Is there an option to request a refund check for the credit?

don't see any option, but the month's statement that will include this hasn't closed yet. might give me an option then. would rather just spend the $100 i would spend anyways on stuff that just gives me 1% CashBack rather than have to run by the bank and deposit the check. i might see if i can transfer it to my Freedom card which is one of my standard cards.

There's no option to request a refund check, but after 3 months of inactivity on the account, they will mail you the credit.

Made a $2.12 purchase at 7-11 on 6/04 and received my $100 credit yesterday, 7/10. I have a BT on this card so no further purchases or refunds needed for me. Thanks OP!

Made a $5.45 purchase on 5/31/2007, and my $100 credit showed up on 7/10/2007.

Thanks OP, oh wait - I am the OP!!

Actually you can send a secure message to them online to request a refund check. I did that for both the Sony and Freedom card promotions.

I got my credit of $100.00 on 7/10/2007. That paid for the BT Fee of $75.00, plus 25.00 in free gas!

This was my spouses's card, so now I will get one for myself.

Thanks OP!!

OK, I have a weird one here.

I opened my Sony Card account on or about February 11, 2006 <-- note, that's last year!

I *long* ago bought something trivial and received the $100 promotion check within a couple months.

Next up, I closed the account in order to consolidate it to another Chase card a couple weeks back as a prep step for another AoR (cutting down the number of Chase accounts). The Sony account then showed 0 credit limit and 0 balance until this past Tuesday. On 7/10/07 an adjustment (credit) of $100 appeared with a transaction description of 'CouponID(Other)'. So I called customer service and was transferred to the dispute department. They proceed to backtrack the source and find a murky reference to 'www.ImageStation.com' (apparently a Sony affiliate). No more info. No good reasons. I had never heard of that website before.

I guess it's time to let it sit for 90+ days and receive the auto refund check if nobody mysteriously claims it as a mistake.

Anyone seen something like this before? So should I look the gift horse in the mouth or what?

Same here. I applied for a Sony card almost 1 year ago. After I got the $100 reward, I've never used the card. Today I noticed I got an $100 credit adjustment with a transaction description of 'CouponID(Other)' I don't know where it comes from. Weird!

I, too, received my $100 credit -- and to make things even more pleasant, Chase/Sony was quite prompt with the posting of that credit. Thanks so much, OP!!

Just got mine yesterday as well. Thanks OP.

yea, so is the CouponID an extra 100 dollars?

alert mods

Yes. We have 4 Sony cards but only one card has this extra $100. I don't know if it's a mistake & they may take it back.

Just applied so I should have card by 8/31/07. Looks like I have until November for purchase for $100 credit.

I got the card, purchased and got my $100 credit. I was going to request a check and close the account but today received the following. Anyone done this yet? I was going to add one of my cats as a user... Sounds like another $100

Bonus Points Offer: 500 Sony Rewards Points will be earned when you add an authorized user to your credit card account from August 1, 2007 through September 30, 2007. The maximum reward accumulation during this promotional period is 500 bonus points. Your credit card account must be open and not in default to receive the bonus points at the time the points are posted. When you qualify for bonus points, they will be reflected on your monthly credit card statement approximately 6 to 8 weeks following the last calendar day of the month in which they were earned.

500 Sony Points is like around $10, not $100.
