agentpt5 said:500 Sony Points is like around $10, not $100. 'You will earn 5 points for each $1 of net purchases made with your Sony Card at Sony Style stores and www.SonyStyle.com. You will earn 1 point for each $1 of all other net purchases made with your Sony Card." I figured they weren't giving away $500 but was hoping this meant $100 since they seem to be giving away $100 mystery credits to others below. |

Dumb Question How bad is it for your credit history to open up a card and close it after the 100 credit? |

I still haven't received my $100. I made my purchase on June 16th. I called up CS and she said it was not showing any promotion details for my a/c. She then noticed the $100 credit with coupon id (this is the $100 every non-active sony card user is getting) and she insisted that was the $100 credit I was supposed to have received. Anybody else who still hasn't rcvd their $100 ? |

If I missed this somewhere, sorry, but I need clarification: Does the signup offer expire at 8/31, and/or do you have to make your first purchase before 8/31 to be eligible for the $100 credit? If this is not the case, how long do you have to make your first purchase to be eligible for the $100 credit? I already BT'd this card (it was a big BT and was not worth waiting for the purchase to post and then pay it off, too much lost interest) and would prefer to delay the purchase to minimize finance charges as long as possible. However, at 0.50 a month charges, it's better to get the $100 credit now and pay a total of $6 in yearly finance charges anyway. Thanks. |

If you go to the linked sign-up page and hover your mouse over the superscript "1<", a pop-up says that "your account must be opened by 8/31/2007 and first purchase must be made by 11/30/2007". |

It showed up on its own. A couple earlier posters mentioned the credit taking 10-12 weeks for them so that seems about right. |

Hold on. This is getting messed up. I opened a Chase SONY card account a few months ago. So all I have to do is buy a pack of gum on the card to get $100 credit in 3 months. |

Wow I just got this card yesterday and I just got hit with Fraud on it!! Something made me just check out my statement online at Chase and I see this $29.90 charge........hold on I just got this card yesterday and I got charged something?? It was charged by a CPA lawyer service. I looked up his name online and his site looked legit. I called the Lawyer's # but no answer. I called chase and canceled card. I'll get a new card shortly but I'll have to ask the CSR if the 100 points still apply if I make a purchase on the new card since I was frauded on this one. Anyone else think I should try calling this lawyer tommorrow and ask him whats up? the chase India call center CSR said they will call him but I'm still tempted... |

You don't even need to pay for the Gum. I bought a $1.50 soda on my card, and they credited my card with $1.50 when the statement was sent. |

Just got a flyer in the mail for this card. Automatic $30 credit in 8 to 10 weeks for $100 in purchases from 8/31 through 9/27. 30% CashBack sounds pretty good to me. |

I got my card on 8/15/07 and immediately made a purchase (PS3 from Amazon) and got my $100 credit on 8/21/07. 6 days. That was very efficient of them. |

I am wondering if the offer only good for those customers who received the flyer? |
