er, it sounds like the linked spending counts towards the 500 threshold -- not that you get the double points on anything but the registered card.

No go for either of my AMEX cards. Blue Cash & True Earnings.
FYI, There is another link to sign up for the double points.
I received an email from AMEX on my Blue for Students with the link to http://www.AmericanExpress.com/doublepoints333. OP's link goes to http://www.AmericanExpress.com/doublepoints484.
Interestingly enough, when I tried to signup at the link OP provided, I received the same rejection notice others are getting about the promotion only being for selected card members. When I went to the link provided in the email from AMEX, it allowed me to signup no problem.
Also, note that the terms and conditions change depending on which link you go through. For the 333 link, here's what the website says: "Enroll now to earn double Membership RewardsŪ points from June 1 through August 31, 2007. Then indulge yourself in sensational rewards even faster.
You can earn double points on virtually everything you charge from June through August. For example, if you charge $250 one month, you can earn 500 Membership Rewards points. Simply enroll by July 15, 2007.
Please see important terms, conditions, and restrictions below."
For the 484 link OP had, the part in bold above changes to say "Each month, as usual, you can earn 1 Membership Rewards point for virtually every dollar you spend. Then, you can earn 1 additional point for virtually every dollar you spend over the threshold specified in the offer you received by mail or e-mail."
So it looks like the 333 link is a better deal if you can get it. YMMV as always though.

wtf, This is second promo for which my AMEX Gold Reward plus is not eligible I spend 60k/year on this useless card.
no go on either link. my cards include personal platinum, personal blue, blue for business, optima platinum, platinum Delta skymiles.

Got the offer for my Blue card, but not my Clear.
My offer on my Optima(Plat) was double points only after you spend more than $5000 a month. I'd like to have the $500 offer.

Anybody know when we get our bonus points? I dumped almost all my purchases onto my plat in july and august so I should get a good # of bonus points.

Anybody get their points yet? I'm getting a little annoyed at AMEX here since I need to cancel my card (stupid plat fee went up and I moved out of NYC so half the features make no sense anymore).
