Since nobody has reported success, I'm going to close my Citi Biz Premier Pass ($4K limit) and Biz w/ TYN (10K) today. I'll try for new biz cards later in the week in mini-AOR 2.0. I'll keep the $17K Professional in the hopes that I can move it some day or they come through with an offer, plus it helps keep my utilization down since it shows on the report. Citi gave me a $5K CLI on this one a few months ago without even asking, while I had a 0% BT open, so hopefully that is a good sign.

Can anyone confirm which Citi Cards are "compatible" with the Citi Professional and the regular Citi Platinum MC for a CL reallocation? Think of applying for a new Citi and trying to pump up the CL...

I haven't found anything compatible with my Professional card, but the Platinum MC should be compatible with just about anything. At one point, I reallocated part of my line to a CashReturns card. I think I did another reallocation after that, but I don't remember which card it was to. When I closed it recently, I consolidated it with my AT&T Universal card with no problems.

I'm having the Professional changed to a diamond rebate card and will try to consolidate it and a dividend into a new Associated Bank Citi that was recently approved.

I have done that in the past....converted professional and then relocated/consolidated...

I applied for the Platinum AMEX yesterday and was deferred. Later in the day Citi called me and said I was at my maximum exposure, but they could give me the AMEX if I reallocated from my Platinum Select or Professional. I moved 12K from the Professional, and they added another 8K. I left 5K on the Professional since it will be my backup for places that don't take AMEX.

So apparently you can move Professional >>> Platinum AMEX, at least with a new one when you are at the max. I would have been better off canceling the Professional, getting the AMEX and then getting a new Professional for an extra 15K TYP, but not sure if that would be allowed. I don't want to be too greedy.

The current issue is Not you can't move credit between cards.
You just can't move credit to a card that currently has 0% APR for BT. You can move the credit as soon as 0% expires, but that defeats the purpose.

stingee said:update: looks like Citi is being an indian giver...after my CLR for my biz card up to a 40K credit line showed up online, I did a BT request for the full 40K. A few days later, I check on the status online and see that it is 'denied'. I then call in to inquire about my account, and they basically said they reversed the CLR and will be sending me a letter (my 5th) telling me the CLR was denied.
Am I understanding correctly that you requested a BT that was 100% of your CL? I know that one can be more aggressive with business card BTs than personal card BTs, but, especially in these tighter-credit days, I'd think requesting a 100% BT is just asking for trouble. In the best of times, I've not exceeded 90% of my CL for a BT. I lack experience with Citi business, however.

Every couple of months after min payments I do another BT to max them out again. After 6 mo request CLI and then max out again. I am sure they just love us. I feel sort of guilty shorting their stock!!!

That is correct, I submitted a request online to BT 40K, which was 100% of my Biz card CL (prior to them reversing the CLR). Never had any problems in the past doing so with Citi, but then again those were the EZ credit days. I've since thrown in the towel and just requested a 9K BT, which is 100% of the current and original Biz card CL, which has a status of approved. Now on to other schemes with DW's citi biz cards...

I may just be lucky. I got approval of Biz card for $4000 CL,

Called several times when I get the card trying to reallocation, nothing happens.

However 2 days after I got the card, I received a mail telling me my card is approved for $4000, and if i want to reallocate CL, call 800-541-2836, this letter sent right after my account is approved and before I tried reallocate with normal customer service. maybe i am a good customer of them?

So I called today, CSR is nice, moved CL from one personal, one Professional to this Biz. I asked to consolidate with another Biz under my name, they said no because I use different TIN. The result shows online 4 hours later, but I found $1000 line missing, i called again, they correct the error in half hour. sweet. CSR does mentioned it is one-time offer.

The phone line goes to Credit Department, which is same as 800-288-4653 we used to check application status, there is another number which goes to same deparment 800-472-2068

the problem remain is if you can persude them to do it for you. I tried them before I got the card once, say told me wait till you get card, after card (before received this letter) once, they transfer me to normal CSR. So try your luck.

Does the new card have a 0% capped fee offer?

Hi CornHusker, I was wondering what extension or option you selected after you dial 800-541-2836? I think I keep talking to wrong people who will transfter me to regular CSR right after they hear my request... Thanks.

ext doesn't matter, I just told them I received the letter, and they just did it for me.
