I call CRS to rellocated my high limit personal citi card CL to my new upromise personal citi card two days ago. Since it had been two days, I decide to call. I call three times and got three difference answer from CRS about the CL transfer.
First CRS claim that citi bank won't allow any CL rellocation since 5/25/2007. So my request is denied.
Second CRS told me it might take fews more days to process my request. Obviously he don't know anything.
Third CRS told me my request is denied because i got 0% BT promotion in upromise card which cause the request been denied.
I just wondering if anyone encounter this issue? I plan to ask for another relocation and if that fail, i will close one account and move entire CL to the upromise card.
Update 1:
It seen like "wait for 24-48 hours" mean not approved. Last time i relocate my CL of my citi card, it only take two hour to show on my account.
I request another relocation this morning, CRS waa nice and told me it will be done in 24hours. However, I check back in 5 hours, still no change. Seen like they are pretty tough this time. I going to wait for another 24 hours, then call to consolidate two account. Hopefully that will ok.
Update 2:
I try to rellocate from Dividend to diamond, diamond to upromise and dividend to upromise, all of the request got denied. I end up consolidate diamond to Upromise. I don't want to consolidate my dividend since i have it since 2002. The last CRS claimed that the "new policy" stated that you can not rellocated to account that have BT APR <3%. But she suggest me to consolidate.
Update 3:
Most of people have trouble rellocate the CL to the account with APR <2.99%. There is still ok to consolidate your account. So, please ONLY report if you are able to rellocate CL to any account with promotion rate. Some of the CRS will told you to "wait for 24 hrs" and that's doesn't mean it approved. Please report ONLY if you actually see the CL been rellocated.
Update 4:
Some members had sucessfully did the retention reallocation. That's seem to be the only way to rellocate currently.
