I opened this account on 6/5 with 25.00 from my BofA CC. Got the CC statement today which shows
"BANK OF AMERICA NEW AC..." listed under category 'C' purchases.

Hope this helps folks...now I hope I get the promised credit from opening the account...

Got same thing here. Opened it 6/15 Funded it with $1000 with my citi dividend card(someone here mentioned that that's the highest you should go)and it shows up under purchases. Not a bad deal if they pay me the $100.I get the $100 and $10 CashBack for opening an account I probably won't use

Can anyone confirm if its a hard pull for those with existing checking accounts?

No mention of this in the terms so I re-inquired about the payment, but I'm not holding my breath.

I had an online chat with a Bank of America Rep yesterday and I was told the same thing. It's for customers without any other checking accounts with them. I didn't see any of this mentioned in the terms either. Luckily, I hadn't applied for the account yet.

Have two questions.

1) Anyone get away with more than one offer at the same 'household' address but different names within 6 months?

2) Does an MBNA card count as valid for this offer?

I took advantage of this offer the first day it was posted.

Opened a new account online (per offer spec's) with my world points visa for the initial deposit of 50.00... mind you I still had a free checking with a 2.00 balance from the last 100.00 offer about 1 year ago.

I received an email that In order to finalize the transaction I must make the deposit in branch. The teller basically closed my old account and then made the initial cash deposit in the new account.

Surprise Surprise I found the 100.00 bonus posted on my statement for this month! Easy money!

Try calling 1-888-383-7500 and request they honor the promotion.

Thanks! I decided to go ahead and open an account yesterday to see what happens. After opening, I called the number that is listed here and confirmed that I will be getting the $100 bonus. I'll see if that happens. Will update.

has anyone had a SAVINGS account opened in addition to the checking account when jumping on this promotion? it's been about 2 weeks and my new account finally appeared in my online summary... but another savings also popped up.

just called customer service and she tried to tell me it was part of the original promotion and that i should read the fine print. i firmly but kindly told her could she show me where in the fine print that was stated, as i was looking at a printout of the promotion details in front of me. that shut her up nice and she said she'll just close the account. i verified that there would be no fees or charges but i guess i should check the BOA site now for T&C on new savings accounts...

I hadn't had that happen to me, but I did notice that when signing up for this promo and others on the online application, not only is the MYAccess checked in the box but also a savings(which is listed second)is also automatically checked. I just unchecked the box and had no problems. Just wondering if you noticed that. Maybe that's why a savings was opened also. But certainly if it was in error, the CSR should have closed it like you stated.

So beware of what boxes beside the accounts are automatically checked before submitting application!!!

I received the bonus after having a closed checking account so you should be fine.

Is everyone using CH100CTA? Does anyone know when it expires?

I just applied for the checking account.

I already have a Student Checking Account, and BoA Gold Card, and a former MBNA account. It said my application was complete, I did not have any options of funding the account. Here's what it said:

"Congratulations, you have successfully submitted your application.

Once your application has been processed and approved, you will receive your account number and signature card through the U.S Postal Service within 7 – 10 business days. If your new account is approved it will appear in your Online Banking profile within 2 – 4 business days."

As soon as I see it in my online profile I will fund it with the $25.

Edit: I just received this email about funding options.
"Your application will now be processed and if approved, you will receive your account number and signature card through the U.S Postal Service within 7 - 10 business days. If your new account is approved it will appear in your Online Banking profile within 1 - 2 business days.

Once your account has been opened please use one of the options below to make your initial deposit to your new account.
