Last year I got one and it was 5% - but it only lasted for 12 months. This year it's down to 6 months and it's a "limited-time promotional offer".
Here are the details:
* 0% APR on balance transfers for 12 months.
* Earn 5% Cash Back on purchases at supermarkets, drugstores, gas stations, convenience stores, and utilities including cable for 6 months, and 2% Cash Back thereafter, plus 1% on all other purchases [up to a maximum of $300 in any calendar year, payable in checks of $50 or more upon request]
* Earn unlimited Cash Back by shopping within the Citi Bonus Cash Center
* Earn Cash Back on qualifying balance transfers and eligible cash advances.
After the starting 6 months, I think the Freedom card is better than this

I used to be a big fan of Citi, but now I can't stand them.
1) Their rewards are no longer competitive 2) They once had all U.S.A. CSRs, but have joined the India bandwagon 3) Can't move Citi and Citi affiliate credit lines around 4) Don't always honor their own promotional mailings
There are so many options for credit these days ... 6 months @ 5% is pretty sad.
