Well I have been a part of FWF for a couple months now and have learned more about credit and money in general then i have in my entire life, so i would like to thank you guys for that.

1st my general "stats"

age-20 (21 in august)
im a part time student and work full time.
personal income- ~43k
HHI including my parents is well over 200k so on my apps I will probably meet in the middle and put 100k, except for AMEX I will put my income since they are FR nazis.

AMEX Blue cash---------------- 22k limit ~$1500(0%)balance that will be payed off soon.

Bank of America Dodge rewards- 25k limit ~$1200 balance- dispute of 1k in progress, long story.

5/3 Bank---------------------- 10k limit ~$4800 balance @4% for life, and i actually havent been charged interest on this(im not complaining) for my dirtbike (i race motorcross)

Citi drivers edge------------- 1k limit no balance

Crapone card------------------ 1k limit no balance and oldest card

Also i have a car loan at about 12k

-so 59k in credit at about 13.5% utilization and that will be lower at the time of AOR.

My credit report from true credit is-
SCORE INQUIRIES
TU- 707 0
EX- 706 4
EQ- 702 10

I have been using TrueCredit and creditsecure for bumpage and i should see some bumping this month, i really want to wait till my inquiries are lower to start.

i am also a AU on 2 of my dads cards and have no idea how, thread about it is here LINK
I really want to do this AOR before the AU user is done away with.

For my first AOR i dont want to apply for too many cards so i dont know how many more cards i want to add.

7/5--- well i actually have 10 inquiries on EQ I misread it. and i have an EX that will drop off on the 9th. And after reviewing my orders i actually have about 25 more days untill i get some bumpage so i miscalculated that, so i may delay my AOR till mid next month.

Also took off discover business card

7/6----Added BOA platinum Visa- 12 month 0% BT no fee

7/8----got my first bump on TU today and an EX will drop off tomorrow my scores went up a little also-- TU-699, EX- 706, EQ still at 702

7/9----another TU bump which brought my score to 707

7/13----pulled the trigger with HORRIBLE results, hopefully one will get approved so i can buy a gun and shoot myself in the face.

7/15----so far my total inquires are TU-0 (no one pulled them?) EX-8 and EQ had two bumped today to leave a total of 8 also

7/23----first approval 5/3 cash rewards 12.500 limit will BT to checking

7/24----chase home improvement approved for 10000

7/27----chase business approved 12000

Why all the red for this individual? I am personally undecided on how I feel about AOR threads. I have been leaning slightly towards them being a nuisance and pointless. Though some do contain interesting information. In any event, I do not see how Blok should be given a negative rating whereas most every other AOR thread is greener than a woman who just found out her ex-husband won $300 million in the lottery.

good credit scores, but not great. lots of inquiries. You don't want cc companies to think you're desperate.

blok make sure that $43k is verifiable, especially for AM3X (as you pointed out)

also did you forget the Sony card for that free $100? That would put your at 4 chase apps though....

Almost all the inquiries should be bumped by the time of my AOR so that shouldnt be a problem. yes, my income is verifiable, but i dont want to hassle my dad for docs. if it comes up so i wont be using his income on my AMEX apps. I couldnt find a working link for the sony card, ill try looking again.

edit- just found the working link so im going to try and squeeze that in.

And if anyone is going to give me red, pleas explain why. I put a lot of time into this and any comments would be appreciated. I also think this will help other young fatwallet members, such as my self.

While I personally haven't given you red, I feel that AOR stories should go into the sticky. I also generally don't go into AOR threads, since the details of people's AOR's aren't of particular interest to me. I actually wandered in here after seeing your thread get red when most are green and wondered why.

I suspect that "possibly youngest" tag line irked some people

I think you'll get results consistent with other AORs for those with high reported HHIs but relatively thin credit histories: very inconsistent.

If you want to do a BT with BofA, I recommend getting a card that has the BT fee capped (for instance, the Star Wars card), and don't count on your negotiation skills with waive the fee and potentially miss out on the whole opportunity.

I don't have a Discover Business card myself, but I hear rumor they go through moderately strenuous effort to verify business. Can you verify a small business?

Actually, a 20 year old kid with the smarts and the cajones to research and pull this off deserves plenty of green, IMHO. Most of us were probably clueless about this stuff at that age.

20 is actually a rather late start these days....and I pulled it off the at 18 (day I turned). I only got $67k in credit at the time, but that was 1 yr ago.

I did my first AOR in the womb.

That's a late start these days. I totally did my first AOR right after implantation.

I'm curious what kind of work do you do that you make $43k. 43k/52 weeks/40hrs = $20.68/hr which is pretty good for a 20yr old in college.

And to contribute more to the actual AOR in question:

You say you're going to bump most of those inquiries off within a month, but I highly doubt it. Even if you're triple pulling from two sources, I think you're going to have a hard time getting the bulk of those off that fast. You have 6 EX, which obviously aren't going anywhere. The TU's could go, but EQ seems to have a fairly high bumping tolerance, where you have 11. It's going to be quite a awhile. That's a TON of inquiries for a 20yr old... where the hell did they come from? That's about how many I had AFTER I did my AOR.

Your scores are a little too low for my tastes as well. It's certainly not impossible to have a good AOR with scores that low, but I think that's somewhat pushing it, especially considering the large number of inquiries as well.

I would definitely nuke your balances before starting as well. You probably just need to wait a few months.

On the Citi Professional Card, you need to do the trick to get more points.

1. Make sure your popup blockers are turned OFF.
2. Click on "apply"
3. Close or refresh the page.

A new window will pop up saying Wait!!!! Don't go!!!!! What if we give you $150, will that be all right???!?!! Also, when you do that the BT is for 12 months, not 9.

You used to have to go to a special link to do this, but now it works from the regular link on the Citicards page.

well I have been pulling my reports daily for the last couple months and I am approaching 90 soft pulls so I think thay will start bumping soon. my balances will be paid in the next few weeks except for boa.
my incuries came from buying my truck, my dirtbike opening bank accounts for bonus money, scottrade and credit cards.
