I'm in for one! I applied through the phone number and was offered the opportunity to take some of the limit from my other BoA card (10K) to establish the new one. I split the CL into 5K for each. I was worried that if I applied online I'd get rejected due to high balances I'm carrying on some 0%BT cards. When you apply on the phone, they transfer you to the person who pulls up your credit report, and you have a chance to talk to them about items that might cause them to turn you down otherwise (might be a good route to go for anyone with a recent AOR). Thanks ThreeDJMay! |

Instant approval for me, my spouse, and son (college student). He actually wanted a BOA card because that's where his student checking is located. I personally can't stand BOA, so I'll be thrilled to collect $500 and then cancel. |

ThreeDJMay said:Yes they pulled Experian for me... Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it state specific (or zip code specific) which CRA is pulled? That has been my experience (opening the "same" card from different states) and that's what the discussions/database on creditboards seem to indicate. This is to say that along with the CRA name it is important to state the state (what an interesting tautology) you indicated on the application form. In particular, I'm interested what CRA was pulled for NY, ZIP=105XX. |

Does anyone know over what period do you have to make purchases of $250? Is it over 1 month, or over 6 months since the approval? |

I know that when I disputed some info recently on experian the return address for them was in the same town that i live in (allen, tx). not sure if this is the reason for everyone pulling experian for me. |

OK, I'm new to all this. Sorry, I did this and got approved. I'm wanting to go for this offer too. http://www.citicards.com/cards/wv/copy.do?screenID=1308 Isn't it better for your credit score to do as many apps on one day as possible? When should I cancel these cards or does it matter? |

Instantly approved, for only 2.7k. Why is the CL so low? I do have another FIA (Charles Schwarb MBNA) card with CL of 10k. |
