A female does well with large breasts and pleasing proportions. The money is only good for the top echelon, and then is very good. Look for auditions in trade papers. Good luck, and enjoy the ride! |

Also, you could try a dating website. Ever heard of Plenty Of Fish? Adult but not porn. Edited to ad link to youtube news report: Plenty Of Fish News Report (Business Run from Home) |

The big move in the industry is gay porn, so if I was use I would try to get into that. More opportunities for men, who historically have been somewhat limited in the porn industry. Great chance to get in on the bottom floor. |

The website idea sounds interesting. Anyone have any info on starting a website? |

Tattoo artist. My buddy was always a great artist (drawing) and finally put up some cash on high quality tattoo equipment and worked with government agencies to get all licenses and permits.. he took all the one required first aid course and after about a week of meeting the requirements he opened up his own studio out of his home. His hours are great - not many people are getting tattoos at 8:00am. He now charges big bucks as his reputation has grown through word of mouth and now takes home around $500 on some days. His expenses (ink and sanitized tools) are minimal and uses social networking (myspace) for alot of his marketing. He been doing it for about a year now and is very busy and loving it. |

I have a friend in Vegas who's a photographer (primarily adult) and shoots exclusively in his home. He's been doing it for years (going back before I knew him) and has filled his house with different settings/props in every room. Although he'll photograph just about anything (glamor shots, graduations, weddings, modeling) most of his business seems to be female nudes. I'm sure it's nothing compared to certain parts of California, but Vegas has a thriving sex industry and plenty of women who aspire to be a part of that industry. Although some of his work (usually non-nude bikini shots) is regularly featured in Vegas papers, in most cases his customer is the woman being photographed. Usually they're trying to put together a "portfolio" for themselves. I don't know the full story on how he got started, but it sounds like he started out small in his spare time with photography having always being a passion of his. He's paid off his mortgage and his expenses aren't that significant so in the years I've known him he's been able to get by with his photography business, only occasionally having to work "real" jobs. Most of his customers have been very satisfied with his work and recommend him to their friends, which has led to his business grow steadily. More recently he has expanded to offering his house/studio for rent on the internet to other photographers (usually out of town) who want to use it for a day to shoot whatever project they're working on in the Vegas area. He's had a number of takers on this, but is still building up this part of his business. He has his primary photography business pretty streamlined to the point where he can do great and original shoots with very little effort on his part and I expect his business to continue to grow in the future. Right now he's not making a fortune doing what he does, but certainly more than he needs to get by and he enjoys it. As he jokingly explained it to me once, "I don't need to go out to have fun...beautiful women drive to my house, strip for me, and then pay me when they're done" In reality he's a little more jaded than that and although he still enjoys photography doesn't find him job nearly as interesting as most readers here probably do! |

macdave said:It is not my entire income, but I get $200 to $400 per month doing surveys and using refferal sites. It costs me nothing but a little time. Note: there are a lot of survey scams out there, if anyone wants you to pay them for surveys then it is a SCAM. Can you provide a list of survey sites to get someone started? Thanks, Fred |
