You will earn a cash rebate for all net new purchases (new purchases less returns and credit adjustments) that you make with your card during each Rebate Period. The first Rebate Period will consist of the first 12 billing cycles after account opening; each subsequent Rebate Period will include the next 12 cycles. The rebate you earn will be based on your total net new purchases to that point during the Rebate Period, as follows:
Everyday Purchases are purchases made at grocery stores, gas stations, drugstores, and dry cleaners and generally do not include purchases made at superstores and warehouse clubs

No, mega rebate % only lasts first 6 months. But its 0% for both BT and purchases so you can do both at the same time.
I was ignoring the temporary 10% gas rebate. 5% for EDP (including gas) extends BEYOND the first 6 months. Yes, there's that $4000 tier, but that's less than the $6500 AMEX Blue Cash tier.
This is a very nice card for a relatively big spender.

NO! Look at the T&C. 0% ONLY FOR BALANCE TRANSFERS.
Wamu makes a lot of different offers, so maybe you're thinking of a different one?
My wife and I got targeted offers from Wamu in March. On hers, the purchase rewards were like this, on mine, you get points, 5% on EDP, no special 10% on gas, but no tiers either. Interest on BT, but no fee, and if you made a BT of at least $100, 0% on purchases until October 2008. So we each got the card we were offered, did a $100 BT and paid it off right away. On mine, there was 22 cents interest which got rebated back because that was the only thing on the card; on hers, same 22 cents, but she had bought some gas so there was a balance on the card, so we had to pay the 22 cents.
If I was getting a lot of offers from Wamu, I think I might wait a bit before taking this offer, to see what else they might be going to send me, and then go ahead with it if I didn't get anything better. We got a lot of offers that weren't as good as what we eventually got.
I think on ours they said CL up to $30,000, and I got $30,000 and my wife got $28,000. So if you've been getting high CL's from your other apps, you might want to put down a largish number for the BT on this one.

I'm not a reward card chaser like you guys , I just want the best card with the best rewards program and use it for a longggg time.
NO, just the GAS at 10% CashBack lasts for 6 months. EDP (plus dry cleaning) Cash Back at 5% lasts indefinitely.
