except for the quasi-business Citi Professional, i've yet to have a business card report to the personal CRAs. This is for an S-corp. YMMV with sole props, i suppose. |

lhendricks92: I have a question for you. I'd appreciate your feedback. I have a Citi personal card that 10 years old, but one that was recently made into a World MasterCard without a preset spending limit. I am trying to figure out how I can get the credit line of that card into something else. Past attempst to re-allocate have been denied (although I have been successful in various other kinds of reallocations, e.g. from another card to a third card, between business cards, etc). I remember reading about your experience of re-allocating the credit line in PremierPass Elite, which also has the same feature. I would like to know how you would recommend going converting this card (or your feedback if it is possible), so that: (1) I can preserve the reporting history of this card, under the new label, (2) once the conversion is over, I can move the credit limit to the business side. I have CitiBusiness and CitiBusiness PremierPass. TIA. In other news, unrelated to my problem above, but relevant to this topic: someone posted a new topic about BankAtlantic business card being on yodlee as a BETA. I tried it, but I was not able to get it to retrieve my info (something about credentials being wrong, although it never asked for any verification questions).

I am most likely doing it wrong but I couldn't get it to work either. I _think_ its the Bank Atlantic main web interface and I _think_ the business card is on a different interface (which I can't find in my BofA version of yodlee). |

tolamapS, I converted a brand new Premier Pass Elite to a Dividend MasterCard. The original card was opened in August, and the converted card was requested in September. My report shows the converted line with the August opening date. I'm not sure that's enough of a difference to guarantee they will preserve your 10 years of history. You may want to seek additional data points. (I'm not sure which thread would be appropriate.) I also can't speak to your World Mastercard, but IIRC, the CSR gave me a choice of cards for the conversion. Just make sure it's one with a preset limit and that should be reallocate-able to your business line. Also, thanks for heads up on the BankAtlantic yodlee situation. |

lhendricks92: thanks for the info. I will think this over and see how to do it. Perhaps can start w/ asking the CSR, then maybe even converting a newer card that I don't really need just to see what happens with the history. Losing the 10-yr old card (i.e., having it closed and a new card reporting) would be pretty bad at this point . Incidentally, for daily monitoring and b*, a new program has popped up (discussed in many other threads), through ChaseIDProtection.com. Unlike most of the programs I knew about (tru3credit.com, cr3ditsecure, natl city id, key bank, chase identity protect), this one is through a company called CredCo. They have a pretty extensive website. While there are other third parties, e.g. identityguard, or city credit monitoring, none of those are daily. |

How do you file your tax return? I am H1 visa holder. Planning to do Mini personal AOR. I am reading this Business AOR thread and wondering if I can apply for business card? By law H1B holder can't work for anyone other than current sponsorer. Currently I file 1040 for tax purpose along with 1099-INT etc. Is it ok for me to apply for Business cards and do AOR? Anyone has any idea? |

anybody have a business credit card from the space monkeys at HSBC?I do. A bit over a year ago I opened a biz line of credit with them with a 1-year promo rate. I had to open a checking account to get the rate/loan, and along with the new checking account they pre-approved me for a $5k credit card line (at the time, I had high personal credit card balances showing so I was pleased with that amount). I initially skipped it for my last A0R due to the 6-month promo, then forgot about it when filling out the remainder of my app list. Dont know about multiple cards/reallocation policies. I'd try submitting an app now, but last time they pulled EXP and I already have too many inquiries on there as it is. |

Anyone here apply for the BofA biz card? http://www.bankofamerica.com/small_business/business_credit_cards/index.cfm?template=visa_platinum_power_rewards_credit_card They actually have quite a few. I'm considering consolidating my 3 personal cards to this one if it's possible with BofA. |

Can someone tell me how to get rid of inquiries from credit report? Also, if you apply for biz cards with 0% offer, - does it show up on your personal credit report? - do you get 1099 for pulling Biz BT money in personal checking or savings account? Do you have to do anything at the end of the year in terms of Tax return ? These points prevent me from applying and doing on Biz BT as I am on H1-B. Thanks !! |

Reason to ask this question here is: - some people said even with Biz card they will check your personal credit history - Need clarification little better - Some people said we will get 1099 and other said Schedule C. I am on H1-B and don't want to get into Tax related issue. I thought someone who is on H1-B, who has done this can help. I really didn't see much info on getting rid of credit inquiries. If you can guide me it will be great. cyberkost said:Love said:Can someone tell me how to get rid of inquiries from credit report?

Love: 1) 99% of business credit card applications require a personal guarantee (i.e., they'll pull your personal report(s)), but the lines won't appear on your personal reports. 2) if you put your BT money from business cards in a personal savings account, you'll get a personal 1099. your savings account isn't going to care about the source of your deposits. 3) if your business has revenue, you'll need to file business taxes (Schedule C for a sole prop.) note: this has nothing to do with business credit. 4) search for "bumpage" to learn about removing inquiries. 5) can't speak to the H1-B situation. |

I recently did mini AOR (4 personal,9 business), completed BT from citi biz; they reviewed my credit report, and saw 12 inqs on EQ and closed the account, I had $0 of debt reported on my personal credit report at the time of review. I took 7.4k out of 7.5k CL. Did I spooke them by maxing my biz cc? Anyone else experienced similar action out of nowhere? CSR gave me a standard line "I am not licensed to talk about it" |

Can you give us more data about your business, HHI, credit history (personal and business), etc.? I have a start up consulting biz (2007) with TIN and I put revenues $1-25k on every biz application.I have clean credit report, true fico score is in 730-740 range, fako scores 770-800, utilization at any time is below 2% and paid of monthly,5 out 12 inqs are almost 2 years old, 4new came from recent chase applications (2 cards). As far as citi: customer since 2004,never carried a balance. False alarm Per conversation wit CSR,the only reason they closed all my accounts is because of too many inquires in December - 7 (4 of which thanks to chase). At this moment it is not a big deal since I have their 0% APR BT money Unfortunately, b* did not start working for me yet I just hope they DON'T start reviewing credit reports of mega AOR-ers |
