State Farm caused a hell of a mess for many people last fall when they started reporting business credit cards to their personal credit reports without informing people they were doing so. Reports were coming in all over the place, people were apoplectic. See, it's one thing to change how one reports. It's another thing entirely to do it without notification. At least Capital One attempted to notify people...................................... though why their notifications came so late, I don't know. I've had more respect from Chase when it comes to changes in terms. Why notify people at the last minute that 'oh yeah we're going to do this effective less than 30 days, have fun!' That's nasty. But still better than State Farm. An aside: TD North business also (apparently) reports to personal. We were never approved for them, so I have no idea how it appears on people's reports, or which reports. But perhaps the financial gurus here can explain why it would be good business and good sense to report business credit experiences to personal credit reports? Is there method to madness on this one? |

Heads up- Got a call from Equifax Commercial today. As of 12/15 Microsoft Office Accounting will no longer allow you to pull your biz credit. Don't know why Equifax has this policy. Experian Biz and D&B encourage you to pull your own credit (for a fee of course |

Don't know why Equifax has this policy. Experian Biz and D&B encourage you to pull your own credit (for a fee of course Thank you for the heads up, LaJollaInvestor. I've never used MS OA, nor have I used it to get reports. MS already has the 'we no longer provide' help page up, ha. Reading faqs, looks like Equifax wants everything to go through a sales rep. More money for Equifax? Was MS Office Accounting being abused? I don't know, either. Anyone on the inside, here? Letgetcc, I'm sorry I did not answer question (and that no one else here answered it, either). The answer is, I don't know. (Caliman10 over at 'the other site' asked the same question, and got two conflicting answers from the same handle on two different boards. It's possible someone stole myFICO ConcordUser's handle, a handle created Sept 2007, for use at 'the other site' starting May 2008. Handle-theft happens, it's happened to me; it's probably happened to several people on this board over the years, and it would suck if it eventually happened to you.)
Doing a google search for 'does nationwide business report' doesn't help. It just pulls up your, Connect4 and Caliman's recent identical questions across multiple boards on whether or not Nationwide business cards report -- as top hits. I guess people are curious, but no one with experience feels like answering; or those who do, don't give a fark enough to answer? So, again, I'm sorry. As others have posted around the boards plural, you have three options: ask customer service if they report and whom they report to; apply for the card and don't worry about it; or don't apply for the card and don't worry about it. No matter what Good Luck, in getting the business credit you need for your business! |
