Another monkey encounter: Last night HSBC called me (at dinner time) about my massive (2.5k) GM flex card I've had a BT on for over two months now:

Question 1: "Hello sir, I wanted to make sure you have activated your card yet." - WTF, I've had a balance of 2k for the last 60 days on this card, you can't tell I've activated it in your system?

Question 2: "I'm calling tonight to tell you about our payment protector plan...blah blah, details, blah blah" - NO, NO, NO, NO. After four NO's (I was about to start spelling it out "Nnnnnnn - Ooooooo"), the rep finally stopped reading the terms of this crap service I do not want. However, it has apparantly become standard practice for every company, with every rep, every time you call to pitch the many wonders of payment protector. I just haven't had anyone actively call me at home to sell this service yet. Another 1st for HSBC. GO TEAM BANANNAS!
