thanks, I was hoping for bigger limits on the citi cards, but i'm not surprised at what I got because of my short history with them. At least their BT's are no fee, so I won't have to bother with consolidating them.
The citi personal instant lines seem similar to from my first AOR with them.
Anyway, consolidating those citibank lines can have two valuable effects: 1) It reduces the number of cards that carry a high balance, which might help your FICO a little. 2) It lets you "save" the 0% deal on the second card for 11 months, and then you can always restart it if you want.
Unfortunately, there is a very good chance that Citibank won't let you reallocate between personal cards, in which case you might as well go and do each BT individually.

You definately need to consolidate between MC & MC or Visa & Visa, but they also often do not allow consolidation from an old card to a new card with a 0% promo (although I have done this, but only after trying 3 times with three different cards first . I say persistance is key!

i'd rather just to BT's on all of them, pay them off at the 11th month and cancel them (since you can't consolidate/reallocate onto new 0% cards), and apply for new cards with whatever 0% BT offers they have in 11 months in a new AOR. I'm leaving one personal available (and one business available if i have to) to do refunds on, and after I get all the refunds, then i'll use them for their BT offers as well.
only applied to one chase??? Chase has some of the best rewards for new applicants! Plus you can then consolidate your lines to just one account prior to BT, so you won't have to deal w/ so many accounts for making the monthly minimum payment.

.. pay them off at the 11th month, but don't cancel all of them. Consolidate them into one. this will: 1) will not increase your overall utilization it compared to the cancellation 2) will make it relatively easy to re-allocate (only one card to re-allocate from) to 0% card in the future should the issuer decide to be more flexible on reallocations or you just get a nice/willing CSR (which you may on your nth try) 3) in (perhaps, distant) future will do you good as far as the age of your credit goes
Has anyone figured out how to use the BT option on the citibank site for transfering straight into a banking account such as BOA instead of getting a check issued or asking for checks in the mail? I was thinking the debit card number might work, or possibly entering your bank account number and then putting in BOA address info. I am not to excited about waiting around to see how they could screw it up. The check seems the easiest if you are willing to wait a few days, but it would be nice to have a direct transfer. Does anyone know if you can call and have them dump it in your bank account?
Citibank only rarely offers what they call the "ACH option" of direct deposit to a checking account. I suspect it tends to be on more established accounts.
Generally I recommend sticking with the sucky checks, unless you have a debit card which is a sure thing.
