I'm worried about my AMEX cards. I did one biz and one personal in the morning, and then for some reason tacked on another biz at 6pm. The first biz was instantly approved, now it is showing as "In Process" on their app status site. Might that late night pull tipped them off?

I wouldn't worry about AMEX for new applications, they're handing out new credit like candy.

Financial Reviews are another kettle of fish, though.

And now the fun part.

EQ got hosed. As of 8:40 this morning

TU, EX, EQ

773 (0), 780 (-5), 730 (-20... please stop the bleeding)

C'mon, you gotta be happy they hit EQ and not EX. 2-3 months of credit monitoring subscription will heal your EQ report . Also, with your credit scores and HHI you should revise your BT money goal upward by a factor of 2 or so.

When I did mine a while back, I applied 3 BoA, 2 for personal and 1 for biz.
Never heard of anything from Biz card application.
Two personal cards are approved with one for 30K, one for 25K. but too bad they slash down my original BoA card which has 30K CL to 10K when they approve my 25K new card. Then they cancel that 10K card totally when they approve my 30K.
I don't like it cancel my card, but I get 55K 0%APR for 12mo by sacrifice my 2.5 yrs old 30K CL BoA card. I think that is worthy.

Besides cardselection.com are there any other websites you guys would recommend to get Cash Back on applications?

Thanks in advance. I searched the forums but I could not find much info

Not sure if title was meant as sarcasm? I liked doing mine and reading these threads because I am a finance nerd and think most others doing AoR's are also. The cool kids are to busy partying, getting laid and trashing their credit buying expensive cars to do an AoR

Who cares if it is sarcasm.... after being a NERD all my life, I am one of the COOL KIDS!!!

Now that is sarcasm... I am a nerd (computer-geek), but a well-paid nerd, and I have a Harley.... and I ain't no kid!

But I do the AOR!!!

Why was my recent AOR thread promptly locked, while this one remains?

I don't have anything against this thread, but this seems unfair... Can't mine be unlocked? There doesn't seem to be much incentive to post in the consolidated thread, as nobody responds... some of us have questions embedded within a post, and appreciate the feedback.

(my post was "My first AOR: 8.1.7.....").

Because you touch yourself?
Looks like they are trying to consolidate AoR threads but it does seem like you got screwed since there are a number of new AoR threads still open

Thanks to the MODS for unlocking this thread!

Wifey didn't get any adverse action from Barclay's until a month after the balance was paid off so the above is not necessarily true.

Timing may vary but it will happen!

I see Baylor Alumni card has uncapped 3% BT fee. Did I miss the fineprint or they recently changed their term?

edit: never mind, it's been addressed before. I didn't see it on "Other Fees". No BT fee for first 12 mo.

alert mods

Same as for the Citi ones. Are they removing the BT fee for BT requests made at the time of application?

I'm getting hosed. Future note to all AORers, don't apply at the end of a month, because I'm getting bait and switched.

The Capone offer claimed to have expired, the Chase business went from 12 to 6 months intro period, and the National City Balance Cap disappeared. It's looking like I may not get out of this with more 40-50 grand in good solid B/T money. So far, I'm thinking this was a waste of time. Boo!

alert mods

Nat City is still 0% for 6 months on BTs, no balance transfer fees.

link to the disclosure

alert mods

Yeah, that Chase biz deal is 6 months if you go through CardSelection. A friendly Chase CSR can't help you switch to a card with 12 months? Heck, you might even be able to apply for another Chase biz card and reallocate.

And don't give up on BankAtlantic. Call Barclays' credit department (look in the application status and credit card issuer faq threads) and ask 'em what's up.

Well, did you print T&C at the time of application? If so, just call the banks up and stick it to them. If you have not printed T&C, go online and see if the (more) favorable T&C are still there (if they are, it would help to mention this fact when you call), print'em and call. Whatever you do, don't panic, take your time and do everything in an organized manner ... and, yes, an AOR can be a waste of time (if only that) if not prepared and poorly executed, but I hope this is not your case.

alert mods

Okay, I got confused, the national city still looks good with no fee.

I requested a hardpull credit upgrade from chase to make a BT worthwhile. I asked for 19K, we'll see.

I'm also considering hitting up a couple personal lines for a bit more than 50%. I won't be needing a credit score for a while, and really, they are still pretty good.

alert mods

If you can get the Chase Business BT deal extended to 12mo, and if you haven't maxed out the Sony yet, I'd recommend reallocating most of your credit to the Business card for the BT.

alert mods

Well, Chase put me up to 19.5 CL on the business, so that one is back in play. I have a couple BT checks on the way to max out a couple cards. I'd like to see what the impact on my report would be, and then pay them down to 50% if it's major. Anyone see any issues with doing this?

alert mods

Well, if you max out your cards, and your credit score craters, then making substantial payoffs should cause it to rebound by the next month. However, if Chase or AMEX happens to do an account review during the month that it cratered, then they'll zap you.

But I'm probably not the guy to talk to about being delicate with the lenders.
