Do you think you could get 6 months of 5% Cash Back by submitting an application with your spouse as an authorized user and 3 months later, your spouse submits an application with you as AU? dolmar said in this post: http://www.fatwallet.com/t/52/634740/10336430 "Citi will reopen a closed account if you re-apply for the same card type you closed within 90-120 days. So you would loose out on the new card bonus anyways as they would just re-open your recently closed account and still do a hard pull on your credit." I'm not sure if this would apply... A couple more general questions: If I apply for this card with my husband as an AU, would he get a hard pull? I believe that if I add him as an AU after I have the card, there is no hard pull, but I'm not sure if that is true at application time. Finally, does anyone know if there is a way to apply for multiple Citi cards at once with one hard pull? |

Most cards I get I put her as an AU either when I apply or add after, And I don't think I have ever seen a pull on her. I don't know they would since it's you that is taking responsibility to pay |

I received an email on Sunday that may card was on the way. I had called the app. status line a few days before and mentioned I'd like to allocate a good portion of my CL from another Citi card to this which seems was done, although the Citi app. status dept. does not let you speak with the credit analysts directly handling your approval like some others do. My husband will be thrilled to not carry 3 different cards for the next 3 months... of course then he'll have to relearn it all after the promo. |

Same for my wife, She has used the wrong card a couple times and her excuse is they both have the same color back. I politely suggested she start looking at the front. I do think I am starting to drive her crazy by switching cards and which card to use where and when because I like to stop charging on a card a few days before statement date so I can PIF and show a 0 balance |

I put stickers on each card so my husband knows which one to use. When he traveled internationally recently, we had multiple discussions about only using the Capital One card. I was NOT happy when I saw our Chase bill with a 3% forex fee for his international charges and not particularly polite when I pointed out his error. |

Where was this card when I wanted to pay my income taxes? You know they're going to cancel this promotion around tax time next year |

I don't believe that a credit card issuer can deny to receive a mailed payment. They may be able to deny the number of online payments. MegaKimcheeLove said:elleve said:
I do this all the time already, it's no big deal. they take about 2.9% , but wats up with the 4 transactions a month?. never heard dat one before.
if u really are limited to 4 transactions, can add obopay into it, they take 1.5% but i think they limit you to a certain $ amount a month.
Sorry - should be clearer. You can make as many transactions as you want in a month, but the T&C states that you can only make 4 PAYMENTS to your credit card balance in a billing cycle.
So if your CL is $5,000, you can't keep charging and paying it off unlimited times in a month. You can only post 4 payments against your balance in a month |

You know they're going to cancel this promotion around tax time next year If you think it's worth it after considering service charge and time value of money, you can always make estimated tax payments within the 3-month promo period. Edit to remove reference to property taxes. |

Got my card today and just maxed it out paying $10k of a college bill. Found it a little strange that when I added this account to my CITI online I have to setup my bank payment link again and that takes over a week. So for now I will just push the money in so I can keep using. Thanks OP, That was the easiest $500 I ever made. Without FWF I would have never found this card, So thanks FWF for making my wallet fatter |

Citibank is retarded like that. Also, your first payment online initiated payment MUST be under 1000$. Even if this is a checking/savings acct previously used on a different citibank credit card. Pretty stupid if you ask me. With discover you can change the bank accts any time you want and immediately initiate a payment that same day. How are you pushing a payment in? Using online bill pay from a checking/savings account? Too bad converted accounts don't get any of the new account perks...... |

Too bad converted accounts don't get any of the new account perks...... Oh yea, I forgot about that $1k max on first payment. I recently changed my bank account and because of that max I showed a balance on my report and I hate that. And yes, I just use my Salem Five bill pay and it gets credited to CITI in a couple days, Also Salem does not deduct funds till it gets to CITI, So not bad |

Did you get anything that said 5%? No, But when I called to activate, which was kind of pain because the CSR was really pushing products and did not seem to understand no, I asked about the 5% since nothing in paper work said it. She transfered me to someone else who told me card had 5% for all purchases for 3 months |

Too bad that I don't get it from the date of activation. BTW I never got email telling me that I was approved. And I got a fairly low credit line, but I guess I can move around some of the CL they put on my Dividend card when I closed my AA card recently. |

This has NOT been my experience with CITI. When I have obtained a new card from them, I've simply enrolled it online under the same user-id and password of my old accounts. I have made initial payments of several thousand on new cards without any difficulty......... |
