Well the bridegtrack link still bring up the first screen (5%) for me. If it is really dead then may it finally RIP. Best deal ever. At least for me.

don't know what you guys are trying. bridgetrack link from op worked fine as of 2:39PM.

You almost gave me a heart attack

My promo period just ended and I was planning on applying again, but decided to wait through the weekend.

I agree - link still works. When I click on the OP link, I still get the blank page but the prefix is http. If I change it to https I get the bridgetrack page with the 5% offer.

me too. are you converting, reallocating, closing the old one or applying the second one while the first one is still open?

Huzzah, huzzah!!!!!

Just got my new card and verified that I have 5%. I applied about 6/12 using the 6/3 link in the OP.

yoyo2 said: me too. are you converting, reallocating, closing the old one or applying the second one while the first one is still open?

I just applied for a new one with the old account still open. I actually did the same thing before, so I currently have two CR cards with a new one that'll arrive next week hopefully.

Just got my $278.65 check in the mail from citi, thanks FW!

I clarified my post here in order to better detail the process for my wife getting her second CashReturns card.

Just got approved through the bridgetrack link. Thanks!

6/19 - Applied using the bridgetrack link. Was instantly approved

6/20 - received two emails from Citi. One told me I was approved and I should get my card within a week. The other one said this:

Thank you for applying for a Citi CashReturns(SM) Card account.
We have additional information we would like to discuss with you to ensure we provide you with the product that best meets your needs.
Please call us at 888-556-0463 between 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., ET, before 06/25/2008.

6/24 - Received a postcard from Citi that said this:

Thank you for contacting Citi. We have additional information we would like to discuss with you to ensure we provide you with the product that best meets your needs.
Please call us at 888-556-0450 between 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., ET, Monday through Saturday, within the next 5 days.

Am I right in assuming that they just want to try to sell me other crap? I would think if it affected my application I would not have received an approval letter. What do you guys think?

I don't think this is a sales effort. Seems they're planning on moving you into another card, hopefully not. Please call them and report back. Thanks.

I too got a similar email and also a voice mail when i applied for cashreturns on 6/3/08. Its was a sales call, they offered me Citi Professional card, when i declined they made special offer for credit protector! It was really annoying.

Agreed. I've gotten the same E-mail for applying to other Citi cards (strangely enough, not for this one). It seems to be standard practice. I'd ignore it unless you're bored. Even if you call and want to ask about your application since you're already on the phone, they don't know anything and have to transfer you to customer service.

I'll take as many cards as Citi wants to give me. The problem is, then they will complain that I have too many cards after calling me to proactively give me more cards. They have a similar level of consistency with thier consolidation procedures.

Great everyone. The party lives on.

Applied 2nd card 6/23 from bridgetrack link.. approved instantly... Waiting for actual card to come.. holding off on spending for now.

Applied today and got approved instantly. Keeping fingers crossed on the 5% CashBack.

Wifey took the additional Pro card, given an 8k limit, consolidated up to 26,900 (they stole $100 CL!), opened a Citi checking account using the card for funding initial deposit of 26,500, with on 0% purchases for 12 months, 1% rebate = $265. Oh a balance over on the card makes the checking account fee free, lol. As an extra possible bonus the checking account was opened under the 16k TY points offer, though that's not likely as she's already a checking customer. You know, I'd look forward to telemarketing calls if they all worked out so well.

I applied through a promotion code from the mail. Just got my first statement and the Cash Back was only 1%. called them and told them to story, they said they don't know anything and will file a complaint regarding the matter. They also said that since its a promotion code, it could take longer for the rest of the Cash Back % to come in.

I think its a bunch of BS.

Has anyone have this problem?

Yes, they are trying to push another product down your throat. Probably City Professional Cash. Also, I called on a Saturday, and got an extremely incompetent sales person. I told her point blank that in every way the card she is offering me is inferior, and that I already have a City Professional TY points that I don't use.

I kept the promo page and final approval pages. Only way to find out is call CSR upon card activation and do 'test' purchases to see what a statement generates.

This is the first post I see where someone pulled the trigger on the Bridgetracker.

For those that missed it hejustlaughs reported 1388 worked a-ok confirmed on statement on 6/20.

I think I speak for many posters and many lurkers, we are all anxiously awaiting to hear:
"5% is on my statement" from someone who applied for bridgetrack

Any word from Redina?

My wife's new CashReturns card had its June statement close yesterday. I just requested a PDF copy of the statement, which normally takes about 24 hours to receive. I'll post the results regarding the bonus after I've looked at it.

ETA: I'm told it takes 48 hours rather than 24 to see a PDF statement. Citi really needs to improve on this. With Chase credit cards, I can see months of PDF statements available instantly. Again, I'll report when the information is available.

I hope that link stays good another week or so. I am desperately trying to bump off some of my EQ inquirys, and I need to pay down some of my credit card balances. My current EQ FAKO (trucredit) is only 670, and I know Citi won't approve me with that. And isn't it true that if Citi denies you credit, you have to wait something like 45 days before you can apply again?

I've heard something to that effect, but can't confirm it. If I can find my denial letter that I got from Citi a couple of years ago, I will see if it says anything, but they change policies all of the time so that wouldn't even tell you for sure.

I need an opinion. I did a mini-AOR in mid-April with about 6 cards, one of them being the CashReturns. My 3 months of 5% will end in mid-July. I'd like to get another one before the last working link disappears (and I know that none of us can predict when that will be). However, I've now got several large balances showing and my scores have currently plummeted to the low-700's (PM123) and even one 696 in Citi IM. Keep in mind also, that I did a similar mini-AOR (~8 cards) last October and those balances are still showing also. I only have 1 TU hard inquiry showing (which is what Citi pulls), so I'm not worried about that. I'm quite sure that if I were approved that Citi would take part of my credit line from another card for the new one and I don't have a problem with that. I can post more details if it would help, but given the above, my question is: if it were you, would you sit tight and wait (and risk the link going away) or try an app before the link disappears?

I wouldn't care if I just got a denial and I don't care what my credit score is in terms of getting any loans. I've never had any AA and would like to avoid any if at all possible, so I don't want to be greedy and push things too much (but want to maximize what I can get!). I've been pushing Citi really hard since they seems AA-resistant until the past few months, but trying to keep things looking nice on my credit report so other issuers wouldn't start AA even though I'm not doing anything with them.

So, what would you do?

For those people who got two rebate checks (1% and 4%), does your statement show 4% of the "Base CitiDollars Earned" in the "Card Member Bonus CitiDollars Earned"?

I just received a strange statement (PDF online). I tried to payoff my card before the statment closes but somehow the payment posted faster than the charge (charged on Saturday and payment made on Monday) so I ended up with the payment made it in while the charge got posted to the next billing period:

Base CitiDollars Earned 1,500.15
Card Member Bonus CitiDollars Earned 6,000.6
Total CitiDollars Earned this period 7,500.75
Total CitiDollars Redeemed 7,500.75
Total CitiDollars Available 0.00

I am wondering if I will be getting 4% rebate or 5%? Anyone seen this before?

My PDF statement became available for viewing this morning, and it shows the bonus 4% + base 1% = 5% Cash Back. I applied on 6/12, using the 6/3 bridgetrack link.

7.5k rebate!!! would you mind telling your CL? someone got account closed on a 4.15k rebate. I am wondering what triggered the account closure.

nerboy said: I spent around $83,000 this month on the card (I had a $16,600 credit line) and was waiting for my $4,150 check to come. I tried using the card this morning and it was denied. When I called Citibank to ask them what happened, they said they clsoed the account and I will not be receiving my rebate check. I asked them why did they close it, I always paid my bill within a few days of charging anything to my card and they said they looked at my credit report and said that some of my CC's were near the credit limit. I told them that I pay them all off on time every month and never go over my limit, but they didn't care. I think it has to do with their loss of bilions of dollars this year (and this past quarter). Anyone have any ideas how I can get back my rebate check?

Just another data point. I applied through the Bridgetrack link 6/22 and was instantly approved. Received email confirmation of approval 6/23 and card came today 6/28. Called and CSR confirmed 5% for 3 months. Will update as soon as I receive first statement. This is my second Cash Returns Card and I was approved for this one without closing or reallocating first card.

CL 60K consolidated two cards (only cards I have). I think I am going to stop using this card. It will be bad they close mine because i will have no CC.

Here is the (original) link: Bridgetrack Link

Any suggestions?

Edit your browser prefrences to allow images.

Nothing wrong with the image settings in Firefox (v. 3 release). Images show up fine on all other websites.
However, there appears to be a bug in Firefox 3 with images on this particular site. The image shows up fine in IE (v6.0).
Thanks for reminding me to try another browser (didn't realize that FF3 may have an issue)..

Applied using bridgetrack link on 6/23. Received card 6/30. Confirmed with CSR that I will get 5% for 90 days.
