If I have an AMEX Business Cash Rebate Card, am I still eligible for the GC + MPs offer? Thanks Update: I can't complete the application process online, tried three times, each an hour apart. How incompetent must they be to have so much down time for a critical business application like CC application processing... Small Business Services We are sorry. Due to a computer system error, we are unable to process your application at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. |

Is this something that it's ok for me to apply for, and my wife to apply for (separately) as well? |

No surprise that I got instant approval. I've been receiving invitations in the mail to get the business gold card for months. This sealed the deal. P.S. Only have the Blue card and put down sole proprietorship. |

Thanks. In for two (and the wifey!) I have the Basic Business AMEX already and wasn't sure...but in the screen before processing, it noted that there were no other cards associated with my name, so it seems like smooth sailing! If you already got in on the other 25k points, I say go for this too! -stubot |

Should I say YES if I have a personal cc? Do you have another American Express Personal or Small Business Card? |

good ol computer system error hit me. Almost as believable as how every single phone CSR now says "the computer is slow today" within the 1st minute of our conversation. |

I received my card and welcome information in the mail but the membership rewards info said I was only eligible for 5,000 points with first purchase. I phoned up AMEX before activating to confirm that it was supposed to be 25,000 points. They said they do not see that offer but they could offer me 50,000 points for $500 in purchases. This seems too good to be true so I guess I'll believe it when the miles post. I keep thinking maybe she said 15,000 miles instead of 50,000 miles but I repeated back to her 3 times and she confirmed it each time. The offer number she gave me was 2483. I don't know if you can just call up and request this offer or what. I figured someone might know what to do with it and horde the points. |

Called to confirm my first purchase deal - was bonus ID#7466 Rep confirmed that 25k points would post in 12-14 weeks after first purchase...I asked her if I could "double dip" on the offer code 2483 - still on hold...will update when her "screen is udpated" which I think means gets done talking to supervisor. That bonus is for the "Rewards plus gold card" not the business version. |

Did your welcome material say 5,000 as well or were you just calling to confirm the 25k? The card I have in front of me is most definitely a Gold Rewards Business Card and not the Rewards Plus Gold Card. I wonder if the CSR misspoke? I just want to make sure I get my 25k points (if I get 50k it's a nice bonus) and don't get stuck with 5,000. Do I call back to reconfirm or just wait the 12-14 weeks and to see if the points post? I did also apply for the SPG business card, AAdvantage Business AMEX and AAvanatage AMEX on the same day. I wonder if they just got the cards mixed up when looking at the offers? |

Activated my card today. My rewards info in the mail stated 5,000 points only. But I spoke to the CSR and she stated that I will be getting the 25,000 points because they changed to promo from 5,000 to 25,000 and the paper work didn't get changed in time. Just thought you guys would like to know. |

minimum of $350 (possibly more if redeeming for flight vouchers) seems like a HOT deal to me...Probably because the offer comes with the coveted Tiger imprimateur. If it was just a repeat of the last $150 deal, I'd rather run through Michael Vick's back yard with a t-bone tied to my azz. I ended up getting the GC last time, but it was a MAJOR hassle. I might end up doing this one, though. I would treat the Tiger GC as a bonus if it came. |

I too would rather run the gauntlet through Michael Vick's backyard, T-Bone and all, rather than deal with Tiger Direct. They have a horrible reputation and there are hundreds of posts online concerning their reliabilty and honesty on rebates. Be careful with them......the hassle factor could outweigh the benefit. |

I'm thinking the CSR either pulled another persons application information or was just clueless about what offers were available on the card I applied for. In either case, I'll just make the $500 in purchases, wait the 14 weeks and see what happens. Worst case, they give me 5,000 points and I have to call and have them to change it to 25 or 50k. Best case, I get 50k points no questions asked. Has anyone called and tried to apply with the 2483 offer code? Is this 50k offer for real or just a clueless CSR? |

Applied and got the instant online approval. No CL stated. I'll read over the terms and such when I get it in the mail. Sounds like as other stated, this is a $125 a year fee card, so after I get the benefits fully, it sounds like this is one I should cancel. That sound right? |

For those of you who have cancelled and then re-applied, how long do you have to wait before re-applying and still get the bonus points? I got in on the original TD $150 deal and just cancelled a few weeks ago. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with this. TIA |

when i closed mine they said they would keep it eligable for reinstatement for 90 days, so it seems like i have to wait a month to try for another. |
