No, no, no. Interesting concerns, but irresponsible people make bad decisions everyday. What's wrong with the opportunity to 'buy' a little time; consumers in America do it everyday? Did you pay cash for that 71'' plasma we all watched Britney BOMB on!!? Looks like this service would help more than it would hurt considering the alternative is missing a payment and paying for THAT. Case & point: Not every service is for everyone..... |

Wow it sure got a bad wrap when it was first posted. Fees were hidden? They are easy to see now. "charges a convenience fee of $19.99 + 2.49%" Steep, but if you have a 5% card, you'd still come out ahead. Prepay several months in Dec. to increase you mortgage tax deuction for the current year. |

Given a 5% rebate card... why not pay your 'business partner' $10,000 per day, every day, for a net $250 + $20 or $270 in fees, earning $500 in rebates and netting $230 daily? |

If used with the right reward card, this is definetly a good deal. Citi AMEX gives 3 points per dollar. Redemptions values of near 2 cents/point are easy to obtain with travel rewards. And 3 cents/point is possible with business class tickets. Perfectly played, by prepaying a mortgage with a Citi AMEX card, you can get $2700 towards an airplane ticket (or possibly $2700 in airline credit to be used on several flights) for $770 in fees. If only I could pay my rent with a credit card... |
