I am not familiar with Wachovia. Are they really another issuer?

I've found a couple 6 month offers from them.

Business
Wachovia Visa® Business Card
BT 6 months/0%
Balance Transfer fee: $0 for Promotional Balance Transfer made by using the Promotional Convenience Checks within six months of account opening. Otherwise, 2% of the amount of each non-Convenience Check transfer transaction ($10 minimum, $50 maximum) or 3% of the amount of each non-Promotional Convenience Check transfer transaction ($5 minimum).

Personal
Personal
BT 6 months/0%
Balance Transfer fee (including Convenience Checks): Balance Transfers made at time of account opening or made by using the three (3) Promotional Convenience Checks that arrive with your welcome kit within six (6) months of account opening: 3% of the amount of the transfer ($10 minimum, $75 maximum).

Just applied last week (phone, no online app)
Got deferred, no decision yet. They pulled TU
Its a Southeast US bank gone sorta-national

Wachovia is one of the larger banks in the country. I also did phone app for my AOR, but was denied for too many inquiries.

Snuffer said: Last Monday I went through Elan cards and found a business and personal to add to the AOR that had no BT fee and a 6 month 0% BT each. I was going to add it to my AOR list, but I just looked again and noticed it no longer says no BT fee....now there is an uncapped BT fee.

yep, looks like the no fee BT party is over with Elan/US Bank. Hopefully this is a temporary situation.

Don't forget about the US Bank phone app that expires 9/30.

Getting ready to do this, but reviewing the terms again first and discovered the M&T biz card is really Elan and that is not uncapped too. It still says this, but they removed the part saying no intro BT fee

2Introductory rate period will end early and rate will increase either to the APR for purchases or balance transfers or a Delinquency Rate if a Minimum Payment is not received by the Payment Due Date, your Account exceeds its credit limit, or you close your Account. We apply payments to balances with lower APRs, including introductory APRs, before balances with higher APRs. Balance Transfer Introductory rate and fee option (if applicable) applies only to those balances transferred with, or in conjunction with this application.

This AOR is starting to get smaller. Still reviewing the terms of each card now.

I was starting the AOR and on the first app (Fifth Third) it didn't have my state (CA) in the drop down box. So that eliminates this card. It was a no fee card.

Same here and I am in NY. I was very dissapointed.

I checked again and both are 12 months. I looked at the terms and clicked the apply button also to verify.

You were right about this. When I checked after you told me this I was using the Terms link from the CS site. While doing the AOR I glanced over the terms and found it to be 6 months. Thanks to you I knew which cards to switch to so it didn't eat up time during my AOR. Thanks for pointing that out.

I did the AOR on the 24th. All the business cards and 4 of the 9 personal cards were deferred. Wamu personal was denied.

Going to update the OP now with the cards I applied for.

Inquiries are still trickling through. Is there something I should do between the time the inquiries stop and before I start the BT's? Like open a MM account or trying to raise CL's on existing cards?

Here is a summary so far of what I have received in the mail:

10/1/07
RBS Platinum / CL $12000 / Available credit $2500 / no checks
Bank of America® Platinum Plus® MasterCard® / $3600 / no checks
Principal Bank Low Rate / CL $15000 / no checks
AMEX Blue / $4200
Chase GM Business Mastercard / CL $12000 / check
Chase Platinum Visa® Business Card / CL $10000 / check
National Park Foundation Platinum Visa / CL $7500 / 2 cards? / check

Citi Professional: Received 2 letters, one saying my card will arrive within a week

WaMu credit card offer: I find this odd considering I was instantly denied for the WaMu card I applied for.

Juniper credit card offer

10/2/07
National City denied letter for business credit card
The reasons it said were:
Application requires a signature
25. Product not offered on terms requested
2. Unable to verify business/business address

My business is real so I don't know what that means. Not sure what the rest means either. Does applying for a personal card with them have something to do with this?

10/3/07
National City LifeSpring Health / CL $12500 / no checks
---------------------

I am going to update the OP again with more results.

Countrywide seems to have good rates, so I may open an account with them.

Before doing any BT's I assume I should be trying to reallocate cards and maybe trying to get CLI's for existing cards...before my score takes a dive. Anything else?

More updates

10/4/07
Citi Business Card with TYP / CL $15000 / no check
Citi Professional / CL $6000 / no checks
RBS BT checks

10/5/07
Replacement Discover CashBack card

10/6/07
Discover Business Miles / CL $7500 / no checks
2 Citi offers with no BT fee max.

10/7/07
Citi Platinum Select - Your credit line has been increased $800.00 for a total new credit line of $8,300.00.
Sony card - Requested $9500. $90000 income - $9500 approved
Discover – Requested a promotional BT check via website. Said they no longer issue these.

10/10/07
Discover – Moved $8500 CL to Business, CL now $16000. Personal was $8500, now is $1000. So somehow I was given an extra $1000 CL. Requested yesterday after full payment of personal card cleared.
Called and they said they purchase checks only, no BT checks. This means I need to find another method to BT this to cash.

-------------------------------

Still waiting for results for 2 cards

BofA NEA WorldPoints Platinum Plus

Juniper Business Card (Bank Atlantic): On 10/2 received an email I was approved and should come in the next few days.

I've worked out how I will allocate my cards to maximize the offers, but just missing the 2 cards for the complete plan.

-------------------------------

What I am doing now is figuring out how to convert to cash. Citi is known to be an easy laundering card for this if there isn't another method available. So that leads to 2 possible problems:

1. Overusing Citi for laundering. Could this raise a red flag? Plus it can be a little slow to receive the check.
2. I plan on allocating all Citi cards to the new business card for a big BT. However, when laundering through Citi I can't exceed the CL which means I can't allocate Citi cards until all laundering is finished.

Does this sound correct?

Citicards.com has an option to BT to a checking account. I think this would work nice but can someone here confirm that this counts towards the BT offer and won't be considered a cash advance?

Yes it does, but I think I am talking about something different. Unless it is the same thing and I am confused on a point.

In the past I would BT to a Citi card. Wait for it to show in the Citi balance. Then request a "credit balance refund" via the site and they mail a check. This can be slow because they need to verify things on their side, then issue a check....then I wait for it in the mail.

Citi site example: Manage the account -> Maintenance requests -> Credit balance refund

I think what you are talking about would not apply to this. You are talking about using the Citi BT function on the site to use a Citi BT offer in which you can send it straight to your bank account. I have yet to try this personally.

Citi site example: Manage the account -> Balance transfers -> Request a transfer(s)

If there is a method to merge the 2 techniques so a credit balance can be sent to a bank account that would be great. It would certainly speed up things.

That aside, there is my concern of overusing them for laundering. I recall reading something about using BofA for laundering as well. Not sure if that is solid. Anyway, other ways of laundering would be great so it could be spread out.
