The points are a good deal. Is the Gold Elite status all that valuable? You get:
GOLD ELITE (stay 15-49 nights or earn 20,000 points in a calendar year)
Receive all Club benefits, plus:
• Priority Check-in™ on guaranteed reservations
• 10% bonus on base points
• Exclusive Gold Customer Service Phone Number

No free upgrades at that level. The 10% bonus is good, but is Priority Check-in a big deal? Does that just mean you get to use the carpeted line when it's busy?

I think you can purchase an ambassador level account with the free upgrades for 20000 points or $150. I have never had one. On this deal, I just want the points for hotel stays.

The Gold status really is bunk. I am a platinum member and almost never get upgrades at Holiday Inn's or any real benefits except earning extra points as free newspapers don't do much for me. However status does help if you stay at Intercontinental properties and you sometimes get nice upgrades there like I did in NYC. However IC hotels are usually pretty overpriced when you compare them to Hilton, Westin etc.. The only real way to get good upgrades is if you spend 20,000 points or $150 on becoming an "ambassador"

can the 30k points be redeemed for $300 in CashBack checks?

approved!

thx op.

The real benefits are at IC Hotels, have got some fabulous upgrades from them.

Thanks for posting, OP. Took a look at what you can get with the points and it looks like it takes a ton of points to get retail/dining GC's - 20k for a $50 GC and 38k for a $100 GC. So the points are basically good for free nights at IC hotels and not much else. Still a great bonus if you need that.

Retail GC rewards

Not a bad deal, however IMHO the Marriott Visa card is a better deal which gets you 2 free nights or more at category 1-4 hotels.

Also appears to be fee-free for first year.

Not really the Marriott card has higher BT fees, and a higher interst rate. No 0% for purchases or BT, no statement credit etc. read the terms of the two to compare
3.90% fixed APR for the first 6 billing cycles following the opening of your account. After that, 18.24% variable.

May not be best for AOR, but gives one free night at a category 1-4 hotel + 20000 points that can be redeemed for 1 to 3 nights. First year no annual fee, $30 after that. I think you can combine the free certificate and points with your spouse.

$1000 credit limit !!! are u freaking kidding me ?!?!?!?! I am hurt !!

ive churned this deal 2 times now and got 60,000 priority points. Im thinking of doing it again.

A $20 statement credit3 plus a 0.0% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers4

Can anyone share the experience of redeeming the points? Are there many restrictions when/where you can use the points?

How many pts dose it take to stay at thier hotel? Is this good for 1 or is it good for 2 nights? LMK Thanks

The points are easy to use. Just recently they had a special where you could get a room for 5 thousand points at many hotels. I got 3 nights at a NYC hotel for the 15 thousand points I got from a previous credit card offer.

This is a great deal, but I am planning a AOR near the Holidays to help out with presents. There will be a lot better deals coming out in the next month or so.

did you cancel the card? or do they allow multiple cards?

You can get another 15,000 points with their Biz card too.... Priority Club® Rewards Platinum Visa® Business Card

No restriction as long as there are room availability.

Instant deduction of the points and instant re-instate of the points if you cancel the reward booking.

Tons more locations than Marriott group, especially if you use the points for overseas travel.

MR customer service line is not even a toll-free line. And if you cancel an award booking, it takes forever and you have to jump thru hoops to get your points back.

As far as for hotel night redemption, PC is superior than MR in my book.

Also, you will NOT get the free night cert on your 2nd MR card - MR does keep track of that closely. Sometimes you dont even get the 20K bonus even that are sent by Chase.

I have multiple cards, plus all the business credit card also.

Do the points expire?

I was also initially told 1000. When I logged into Chase Banking, I found the limit to be much higher.

Just signed up & instant approval. "$1000 limit" message as well.

Priorityclub website only has the 15,000 points promo

poordealguy said: $1000 credit limit !!! are u freaking kidding me ?!?!?!?! I am hurt !!

Looks like they give instant approval for $1,000....then a human reviews the app. an sets the real limit. Mine arrived with a $6,000 credit line.

Got the $20 credit today.

Got the points and gold status today.

they dropped the points required to get $100 GCs but its still 30,400 so we need 400 points more to get one.

anyone know how much it costs to buy 400 points?

nm, i found it, $12.50.

Edit: I thought I wasn't going to get the 15k Biz card points, but when I checked today I found that I was given 30k for the Personal card and another 30K for the Biz Card!!!!

If you do not wish to keep the card cancel before the fee is charged.

I just tried to exchange the card for another and learned they could give me a Freedom Dynamic, but a product exchange would not eliminate the fee. I cancelled.

If I had called a bit earlier I could have done the exchange ending up with a useful card for spending for rebates.
