The only time I applied to a second Wamu/Providian card, they denied me saying that I already had one of their cards. I don't know if that is still the case or if that applies to all of their cards...

ps: That site looks useful. I like how you can sort the cards by the different columns.

Thanks. A while back (before my first AOR) I was looking for an up to date list of credit cards which is where the idea for this site came from. I'm hoping to create a user run database of every card available online.

FNBO, Infibank (x2) and UBOC cards are all issued by First National. They have a rep for not granting cards to people with lots of inquiries. No way you'll get all three. Also, Wamu has had a recent trend of giving $3k CLs to unsolicited apps. I recommend applying to see if the trend holds up.

You mention rewards as your first priority. Any particular goal with the rewards? Also, are you looking for a card to use as a big spender?

edit: also, UMB has a limited lending area. I don't know what it is, but it might be worth confirming that you're in it, if you don't have branches in your state.

I didn't know that, I'll remove some of those cards. As far as rewards, I'm looking for miles and Cash Back. Do you know if I have to cancel my Chase United cards and Sony card before applying again?

I am also in the planning stages - hasn't RBS and Baylor uncapped their respective BT offers??

While I personally try to keep only one Sony card in my posession for tidyness, others have reported having very large numbers of Sony cards with no problems.

The United cards... maybe not. Due to people from flyertalk getting 4 UA cards a year, mileage "churning" has been significantly clamped down on (mainly on UA not awarding the miles, not sure). I probably wouldn't apply for card duplicate card less than a year apart from each other. I'm not sure on what happens if you apply for a business card when you already have one if the card is old.

Thanks, you're right they did, they must have just changed that. I added a third goal to my AOR, I want to get my overall available credit up by applying for at least one card per bank.

markkundinger:
Thanks for the tip on the UA cards. It's getting close to a year since I got those cards, I think I'll cancel them and give them a shot.

Note that T&C's indicate no cap on 3% BT Fee. At least that is my reading of it.

Power Rewards Platinum Visa Business Card Annual Fee $0. A fixed 0% introductory APR on Purchases and Balance Transfers for the first nine billing cycles following the opening of your account (the introductory period); thereafter a variable APR for Balance Transfers, and a variable APR for Purchases currently 15.24% or 18.24% as determined based on our review of your credit report and information you provide on your application for credit. Cash Advance APR is the Prime rate (currently 8.25%) plus 15.99%. If at any time during the introductory period we do not receive at least the Minimum Payment or you close your account, your introductory rate will terminate thereafter any remaining unpaid balances will accrue interest at your standard contract Purchase Rates. If at any time during any rolling consecutive twelve billing cycle period we do not receive two consecutive Minimum Payments by your payment due date, we may elect to automatically increase any and all of your standard APRs to a variable rate as high as Prime + 23.99% (Penalty APR). Your Penalty APRs on all existing and future unpaid balances will automatically revert to the standard APRs if you make six consecutive payments when due. Cash Advance Fees (including Convenience Checks, Balance Transfers and Overdraft Protection): 3% each transaction (min. $10).

Thanks

I was not accurate enough. I meant 0% WITH maximum bt fee cap BOA business lines.

I will probably reapply for a personal and YIPES! let it show on my personal credit report.

I JUST NOTICED I AM NOW A SENIOR FWF MEMBER - NO more newby status. I feel so recognized by my peers. I am overcome.

Thanks FWF

Sorry to burst your bubble but you become a senior after 200 posts. Now to back the topic; with fewer and fewer "fixed BT-transfer fee cap", one has to ask if the credit line received is sufficient to make the whole processor worth while? Wish they disclose the CL and terms before applying..

I think the site takes forever to load (if it loads at all)

Baylor is uncapped.

RBS is capped if the BT is submitted with the app.

Balance Transfer Fee. For Balance Transfer requests made at the time of application, we will charge your Account a Balance Transfer Fee (Balance Transfer Fee) for each Balance Transfer in an amount equal to three percent (3%) of the U.S. Dollar amount of the Balance Transfer, but not less than a minimum Balance Transfer Fee of $10 and not more than $60. After this period, unless a special promotional offer or other offer applies, the amount of each Balance Transfer Fee you will be charged will equal four percent (4%) of the U.S. Dollar amount of the Balance Transfer, but not less than a minimum Balance Transfer Fee of $10. This fee is a FINANCE CHARGE. We charge Balance Transfer Fees in addition to Periodic Finance Charges.

May I suggest Principal card, search for it in other AOR threads. 0% BT/12 mo with either $0 fee or max $75 fee.
