Just spoke to SECU. They said as long as my CD application was postmarked as of yesterday (I sent it overnight USPS, and it arrived this morning at 10AM), I would be able to get the Giving Thanks CD deal (thus hinting that yesterday was indeed the last day for the letter to be postmarked to get in on the deal). She said they got a whole stack of applications today and would probalby know the individual status later this afternoon. Things look good if you got it mailed yesterday! |

Anyone know how to set up ACH transfer to (or from) their savings account there? They post the routing number in their website 255076753, and supposedly you just use your member number and say it's savings. |

(7XXXXX40 for checking.) |

Am I the only one thoroughly impressed with SECU's customer service? I might just have to move all my local accounts there since they have a branch just down the street. Anyone else doing the same? Maybe this is part of their scheme: completely wow us on the service side to draw us into the rest of their accounts. |

I did UPS on Monday. The CD was created and credited on Tuesday and the money still has not been deducted from the originating bank today. This is very nice. Regarding ACH, different credit unions seem to have different rules on account number. Patelco only use the membership number not the suffix and then other CUs have different account numbers from the membership number. For SECU though, I'll try attaching the suffix and see if that will work first. Have 7 months to figure out after all. |

your skin...your skin...it's so silky smooth...My mom uses these. I can't really understand how one can spend $100s on these products, but I learned a long time ago not to question my mother. |

Anybody's check they used for funding cleared yet? Btw - they must be also doing a credit pull - on my Equifax I see a softie from SECU dated 10/02. I mailed my membership materials on Saturday 9/29 using a regular USPS mail. |

BTW my wife's CD is just opened by SECU's Admin (Suffixed as "at Admin" on the CD name) since the local branch couldn't open it yesterday. Branch rep told that 2:00 PM was the deadline yesterday and mine reached after 2PM by USPS. But requested for the member number and logged in and found the CD is just opened. Awesome post by mh83. Thanks & Keep it up. |
