Don't quite know if this is the correct forum but I have cards of both types, and am now discovering that you cannot "link" the different card types (all managed by Citi) under the same user id.

I had a Universal card for years, which was recently changed into a Citi Dividends card after Citi took over ATT Univ. The card number changed, and I had it attached to my user id on "citicards.com", which forwards to accountonline.com.

It turns out that universalcard.com also forwards the accountonline.com, so when I login with the id for my citicards.com acount, it logs me in, but when I try to add in a new universal card under that id, it tells me (after accepting all the info) to go to universalcard.com to register the card, which is where I went orignally, and am allowed to login under my citi user id.

Anyone know of some way to get all the citi accounts (Universal, regular citi) under one login? Is anyone doing it now?

Did you call Citi?

AFAIK you can't link Universal cards to either the Citicards site or the Citi banking site.

Universal Card cannot be combined with your other Citi accounts. It just is; don't ask why. You have to go to Universalcard.com to view those statements and account history.

I go to www.citicards.com to log into my at&t universal credit card. I cannot, however, get them to link this card to other citi cards like professional and dividend/diamond preferred type cards, so I have to use a different login ID and password.

I have my AT&T Universal Card and Citi Dividend World (previously Dividend Platinum Select) accessed at Citi's site under one login. I did it online about 6 years ago when the AT&T card was a Visa. Later they changed it to MC with a new number - new card showed up ok, but the old Visa number is STILL on the site, 5 years after the card was replaced. Anything I try to do with the Visa card, such as trying to remove it, gives me a "system error". Not worth the hassle to call in to see if they can manually remove it.

I also have a Sears Mastercard that's administered by Citi. I tried the same thing but could not get the Citi site to manage it. I have to use searscard.com for that one. I'm guessing my Universal is a fluke and they don't allow setting it up this way anymore.

Here's my breakdown:

login1: mtvU, driver's edge, professional, PP Elite, and Citi AMEX Plat.
login2: Hhonors
login3: Associated Bank
login4: CitiBusiness, CitiBus PP Elite, and CitiBus AA
login5: Student Citi Associates

Not to mention I've got a Citibank bank login as well!

I don't know why they don't let me just consolidate everything, but oh well, haha

yeah, get this: the rep I spoke to said she believed some change was "recently" made by the programmers to make things easier for the customer which no longer allowed combining diff cards types under one login.

heh, easier, yea right. Much easier for someone with 3 or 4 diff types of cards managed by/under Citi to have to remember 4 different logins instead of one-- especially if your're out of town. It just makes it easier for the CSR's only... if what the CSR said is accurate, it'd have to be the worst "upgrade" ever IMO. It wouldn't be such a PITA to go to a different web site to manage the different cards, but the fact that you have to make unique user id's for each is the main problem. Using the same user id for all my cards makes things much simpler (from Chase to Disc to AMEX, etc.)

p.s. why the red?

I opened a savings and AT&T Universal card in the last month, I have my savings, AT&T, and my Professional cards all linked under one login.
