Ive already got my free annual credit report a couple months ago.


Is there any place else to get a free one, preferably one with a score?

I searched the forums, and found old posts, anyone know the best place to get your credit score now?

thanks i tried that a few months ago for free canceled it a week before the trial was done.

If you can manage without a score, you can get THREE credit reports from annualcreditreport. You can get one free credit report per year PER AGENCY.

You can get a report and score at myFICO, I think you can get one at some American Express thing, and there are a bunch of other free trial services you can get.

But as the previous poster noted, you can get a year of privacymatters123 for $30, and you might just as well get the free trial of that (7 days) and decide if you want to do the trick and pay the $30. You get a triple report and a triple score, and you can get a new report once a day. I don't know if they update the score every day or not.

According to the website, $30 will get you a one-time copy of your credit reports and scores.
It does not update everyday for a year. All it does is give you access to the same report.
If you want to monitor changes to your report over several months, you would need to find something
else.

(True Credit and American Express have such services)

I searched the forums, and found old posts, anyone know the best place to get your credit score now?Just request one from the bureaus themselves. If you've suffered adverse action (or say you have), you get one for free. I've never had an issue with requesting one whenever I wanted, although I always have a hard or soft inquiry showing from the past couple months - I dont know if they'd deny the request if you're report hasnt been accessed in a while. Getting a free score is a different matter, though.

If you read FWF carefully, however, you will find that $30 will get you a lot more.

Fico 30 scorewatch gives you a score and "scorewatch" for 30 days. . .

Good enough to get you a rough idea.

If you enroll in Privacy Assist with Bank of America at www.bofa.com/pap
You get a 30 day trial, you will receive credit reports & scores from all 3 bureaus bound in a booklet. Make sure to cancel before the trial period.

I get my free Transunion score from WaMu credit card. It's offered for free as part of you online profile.

That's a "credit card -enhanced" score, and it's different from the score I get on privacymatters123 - by a LOT (like 80 points). So don't put much trust into the scores, but PM123 deal for $30 will let you pull every day, and has alerts to notify you when certain things happen. It also gives you all 3 reports, which is what you want anyways. Do start with the 7-day trial. Search for privacymatters 123 in the finance forum to get the necessary links and howtos

Economist: Thanks for the heads up. FWIW, I didn't notice a difference in the score. Maybe it's because my account with them is less than 4 months and they don't really have "their" credit profile of me yet.

Yes. It gives you your FICO score based on your Equifax credit report.

Have you guys found any of the 3 reporting agencies to be better in any way than the others?

What does it mean if anything when you get a reply saying your credit report can not be sent online at this time and they suggest mail or phone?
