real shame that AA miles are devalued as much as they are. There was a day when the actually got you decent flights.

what do you mean? are there no longer flights for 25, 40 and 60 thousand miles?

Do they do another credit check during the conversion process?

Yes you can still get tickets for 25,000. He's saying that it used to be easier to find available flights.

And by the way, if they give 25,000 to everyone, of course miles will eventually be devalued.

we just burned 80,000 AA miles for 2 roundtrips to Rome during Spring Break. That's at least 2 cents each and possibly more. That makes this card offer worth $500, and possibly more. How much more decent are you looking for?

SSSHHHHHHHHH. Let them think AA sucks. More flights for me.

That's right -- no deal here. Keep moving everyone. Nothing to see here.

I'm fairly certain that these count toward MM status as well. Just churn 40 and you're there.

Can someone confirm this? TIA

Confirmed. All miles of any kind count toward MM status on AA. However, only certain flown miles will count toward yearly qualifications for AA Gold, Platinum, or Executive Platinum.

The increased bonus is nice. Really not liking the increase from $250 to $750 spending requirement, however. That's really difficult for me to reach in 4 months. I'll probably still use this application over the $250 relic page and take the challenge. 5k miles is not bad for $500 in extra spending.

Yes, AAdvantage miles sucks. Let's move on. Nothing to see here.

I usually pre-pay my car insurance when I need a large change like this. (My Safety Insurance agent in MA takes CCS).

I've canceled my AAdvantage card less than 3 month ago, do you think Citi will just re-open the old account?

Are you going to ask them to re-open or apply for a new card? If you apply for a new card, they're not going to open your old account automatically...

alert mods

Apply for a new one so you can get the miles.

alert mods

how long will the mileage posted?

alert mods

after you make a purchase of $750. I mean end of that billing cycle...

I have two AAdvantage cards and I got 40000 miles by that...

alert mods

No, obviously not going to ask to re-open, was just wondering if they have some sort of automated system that would check if the same card has been closed within past 90 days.
