I found the link here on Fat Wallet a few days ago.Great! Assuming they give me a decent line this would be worth $75 for an extra 6 months. I left both links in the list though as 12 months with no fee might be more valuable for some. Thanks! The rates and fees show 3%, 75 max for your 12mo no fee link. Am I missing something?18 months - I am in. I though I heard someone say that Discover business shows on you personal report??I only observed one claim of this... all others (myself included) have not seen Discover Biz report on personal bureau...

I am just curious about 5th 3rd business bank card. Does anyone know what kind of limit they tend to give?

The terms seem to have changed. I removed the old link since the terms make the 18 month offer clearly superior.

FYI re HSBC

I have a CC with them $12K CL (used last year for a AOR 0% BT) and recent new $9.5K on a platinum plus card. I called HSBC to consolidate.

They required me to close the old card - which i will and I will have to sign paperwork they are sending out to me to consolidate the credit lines!!!!!

Barbaric!!!

I now have my AOR 0% BT $$$ in a countrywide online savings and have no use for HSBC but for 0% BT transfer offers.

Isn't chevy chase bank the same as chase

In my AOR I only applied for 1 chase biz and 1 chevy chase biz and 1 personal chevy chase. I was thinking of a new relationship with chevy chase and since I didn't have a chase biz.

How confusing, When i'd call chase to check app status BOY DID IT SOUND JUST LIKE when I called chevy chase for app status. I called after I got the denial on my personal app and the CSR said chevy and chase are not the same, but I never got anything from chevy chase bank. I know I only did 1 app with chase for the biz card. So I combined my chase personal 25,000 with chase freedom 15,000 to the new handyman card. they used the chevy chase app is all I can figure out....I did get the chase biz 6,000.

Confused yet, I sure am

Is CHEVY and CHASE the same?????? any thought (no pun intended)

Good luck this guy

Any update?

I'm drooling

What about the freeze?

I was thinking if they call and say, "your EXP is frozen" Then I'd say " what, I unfroze that a week ago" I'll have to get back with you (since it takes days to unfreeze) and maybe they will just pull another

But I wouldn't say "can'T you just pull TU or EQ"

I think I would say, " I unfroze all 3 (acting stupid) are the others still frozen"

Cause I'm so dumb, I thought EVERY CREDIT CARD PULLED ALL 3 like for a mortgage " OH you mean you don't pull all 3. Well I'll have to find that code and get in touch with EXP, I guess that will take awhile. Will the offer still be good (cause i'm so dumb)

maybe then they'll just pull another or not

Yeah I think. they are all unfrozen at this point. I've got letters saying that they are. I'll be pi$$ed if I find out that they aren't and my apps don't go through.

PS - I called to cancel my Advanta business card today. They tried to get me to keep it with retention giving me plenty of worthless offers. I told them I didn't understand why they would make me cancel my existing line to reapply and get the 0% offer when they could just give it to me and treat their existing customers with the same offers as new ones but they wouldn't budge. I could get 7.9% for life though. . .ummm yeah. . .no thanks. Cancel please!!

When I called to cancel, the Rep just asked why? I said it was to apply for a new card to get another 0% promo, he said ok, the request would be completed in 24-48 hours. Not even an attempt to keep the old account open. I'm kind of insulted..... Or may be I got one of the few Reps with a bit of common sense .

No I had a problem with a card that wasn't mine showing up on my credit report. I tried to get it removed and long story short it resulted in all agencies placing fraud alerts on my CRs. I had to write letters to all of them to get them removed. I don't care if they hit up exp.

could you explain, was it under your SOCIAL?

How'd you get it removed, could you have also removed 1 of your cards the same way.

It sounds like you just got some EXPERIENCE and it can be helpful to others. Some
people don't believe something can be done until they see someone else did it.

Kinda like an AOR for credit repair

Some more questions if anyone knows the answers:

Do banks like Citi or BoA treat AMEX cards the same as MC and Visa?

Can you move balances around between them just like others?

Does AMEX have anything to do with credit issued there or keeping tabs on it or is it wholly managed by the issuing banks?

Thanks in advance,
thisguy

It was one of my wife's cards. She authorized me to talk with a CSR and of course we alwasy explicitly state that we do not want an AU or another card and we don't give the SSN out but somehow they sent me a card AND started reporting on my CR. I had to go through BoA and they insisted that this was not happening until I wrote them a strongly worded letter and included copies on my credit reports. Once I did this BoA immediately issued a retraction with the CR agencies and all was well however in protesting in simultaneously with the CR agencies one of them put a fraud alert on my account because I said it was not my account. Then they notified the other agencies as well and they all ended up with fraud alerts on them.

I don't think anyone else would be able to use this to remove legit cards because the issuer had to retract the report and request its removal. Good thought though. I was just trying to keep it brief.

I'll take a stab at this...

First, a BofA or Citi AMEX will have nothing to do with your lines at AMEX proper. They are completely separate for all purposes.

Second, I can't speak to BofA, but I did have trouble moving some CL form a Citi Diamond AMEX card because it wasn't "compatible." No worries - I just converted the card to a MasterCard and then reallocated.

Dad got 5k originally, but was able to get instant CLI to 10k after proving income of $202k with 780 FICO. It appears they might be on the lower side of CLs (at least compared to National City Business), that is my experience.

Thisguy, reading your thread is making me go through AOR withdrawal. I've got another 8 months until I can start planning and thinking of doing another! Good luck, I'll be reading your results.
