First, a BofA or Citi AMEX will have nothing to do with your lines at AMEX proper. They are completely separate for all purposes.

Second, I can't speak to BofA, but I did have trouble moving some CL form a Citi Diamond AMEX card because it wasn't "compatible." No worries - I just converted the card to a MasterCard and then reallocated.

I was able to move a line from USAA MC to AMEX without issue. I was avoiding AMEX cards from other banks because of the AMEX FR I had recently but if they are completely separate I might have to reconsider. It seems like some of them have good terms promoting their new AMEX cards. Need to look in a hurry as I was planning tomorrow morning as A-Day. (Application-Day)

Chase
Chevy Chase

yes, first usa handles chevy chase's credit cards, and first usa is a division of chase.

bottom line: chevy chase cards count against your total exposure with chase.

I applied for chevy per+biz cards and 1 biz chase.

Never heard nothing from chevy chase and the application status phone line was the same recording. I just don't understand why I didn't get anything from chevy chase.

But I do believe your right. So I don't see any reason to apply for chevy chase? or am I missing something here

yep, the only chevy chase you need is this one.

Well some results in. Not too bad over all. took me about 4 hours to slog through all the apps. Only made one "mistake" forgot to go through card selection for the AMEX in Chicago card. Figures it's one of the first approved. Oh well. Thanks again for all of your help.

I'll continue to post updates as I can and will keep up the credit score and inquiry tally as best I can.

Thanks again!

This is one ambitious AOR. I noticed Vectra Bank. Could you please tell us what report they pulled?

Thanks and Congrats,

SCM

I'm not entirely sure you can see the inquiries in my post at the beginning of this thread. I read the terms in the disclosure though and it said the card is issued by BB&T Bank and that they are set in whole or in part on information from Equifax.

Hope this helps

did they mean they saw all the inquiries? were they saying you should have called to apply? could you get a CLI if you asked for a big BT now?

anyway, can't wait to see how this A0R turns out...i'm sure it'll be sweet!

alert mods

I did ask for a big BT with NC that's why they called me. They said they couldn't go that high because there were so many inquiries in 1 day. They told me that as a smaller bank they are more willing to work with customers. Especially if the customers have other accounts there. They said they would probably have been able to give me a higher line but there were a lot of inquiries earlier that day and that means they have to stay on the low side. He said the most they could give me was $12,500. so I changed my BT request with him over the phone to 12K. I didn't push it because I am more interested in a high line on the business card from them or even the lifespring card which I think they issue. It has better terms.

Still someone might want to try negotiating with them first on an AOR some time and see how it goes.

Something else i've been thinking about

Everytime you pull your credit during the AOR, makes you have to pull 1 extra time to get ALL B*ed off.

I had INQ's for 2 weeks and I pulled everyday.

Example: 10 hards, soft 2hards, soft, 2 hards, soft, soft, soft, 3 hards, soft, 1 hard.

I realize its fun to pull everyday to see what hit, but It takes that much longer to get all B*ed off.

if CRA hold 60 and you get 25hards with no softs, then it only takes 35 softs to start (est.) with 4 services you get B* in 9 days and all B*ed off in 7 days.

I B*ed mine off in 2 weeks (except mort hards EQ), I think it can be done even faster.

Just a thought(my experience)

I second that, I am in my second AOR and will not start pulling daily until all the Hard pulls are in. I pulled daily before the AOR and during the AOR and it just adds weeks to the "start finish" time
