Eugene, what balances (showing or otherwise) did you have on your billpay cards when you applied for more BofA credit?

$0 on my wife's cards, ~30K on my 50K WorldPoints and ~600 in pending checkfree charges on my 10K Schwab. I will call executive offices today. I can also wait 90 days, deposit 200K and apply for their Premier card, where 50K seems to be min CL (just to regain the credit for utilization).

If I transfer all my IRA and ESA accounts to them, including contribution for 2007, I may have around 100K anyway, which will qualify me for Premier. I will need to have 25K in NEA MMA once a year for free trades some time in April, and I am all set.

Spoke to Exec rep who reviewed all notes in my accounts and said that they cannot be re-opened. However, after I explained that I am concerned with my average account age for credit score purposes and do not mind having my CL reduced, bill pay removed, etc, and am willing to provide income and asset verification information, she sent it back to Credit Dept for further review...

I called FNBO Biz to request BT and found out that I have 0% APR on purchases only. Indeed, that's what I see when I follow the link in my OP. Did this change recently, or was it my oversight from the beginning?

You may want to withdraw everything from Bank of America before they accuse you of fraud and sieze your money...

I know, especially after reading your thread... But it's a game and I am tempted. They may cause great inconvenience and then steal some of my money to cover their BS fees, but they wouldn't steal all of it, I hope. I would not keep all my money with them, or with any one bank.

are you going to do personal AOR now

alert mods

Wow, BoA continues to screw customers.... why am I not surprised?

Maybe in 90 days, we'll see.

Did you try to send copy of your current EX in mail or fax while on freeze?

After talking to exec. did they ever reopened your cards?

No, but Schwab card's status changed from Closed to Suspended. However, it is reported as closed. One of BofA cards, however, is still reporting as open, at least to Experian. That extra 49K helps - not that I show much utilization on my personal cards.

I will try to get my BofA cards re-opened once again after 90 days since last inquiry pass. By that time I will transfer Roth and SEP-IRA to them and probably put 200K into DoW MMA, so maybe it will help. If not, at least I'll get Accolades and unlock all benefits.

Who would take them from me? But I see that whoever wanted to see my Experian report while it was frozen had no problem doing so via a soft pull:

By the way, this unnamed FCU opened a business share and checking account and ... a consumer Visa Platinum, which just showed up on my credit report with 100% utilization. After I called them, I had it converted to the non-reporting Business Visa; however, they told me the closed account will remain on my credit report. I am disputing it with the CRAs, as I never applied for a consumer credit account. The whole idea of a consumer CC attached to a business share seems fishy to me. They explained that many businesses were asking for this arrangement because of the benefits available on consumer cards only (disputes? who knows).

I did not finish spending $750 on the AA Biz card, but they already gave me the miles and... charged annual fee. After a quick call the fee was reversed. BTW, they did not subtract the miles for returns/refunds (weird), but even before returns I spent a little under $750. I've also gotten 15K TY points after first purchase from each CitiBiz and CitiBiz PP. I will consolidate AA and PP cards into CitiBiz next week and request another no fee BT. Annoyingly, Citi made out the first BT check to my business name. I had to deposit it to my business checking account at BofA and transferred it to my personal account just today after a nine day hold.

I got Lufthansa bonus miles for new account and for BT. Now I'll pay it off and consolidate with BankAtlantic.

After almost a whole month Discover adjusted my BT promo period and waived the second BT fee.

Chase is definitely on crack. I knew they had 2 apps limit, but for some reason I thought that GM Biz and Chevy Chase Biz do not count, as they are not serviced via chase.com. I called their underwriters a few weeks ago and was told that everything counts and they will decline the last two apps (I was already approved for United Biz and Chase Biz Rebate at that time). While I was on the phone with them, I asked to move 20K from United CL to Biz Rebate. They did take the 20K away from United, but never added it to Biz Rebate CL. I called a few days later and found out that they've moved it to the Chevy Chase card, which, contrary to what I was told, was approved with 10K CL! It arrived a week later (yeah, 30K!) Two more weeks passed and I got the GM card in the mail as well, with 13K CL!

I consolidated GM and United into Chevy Chase (with longest remaining BT promo period) before they change their mind. I also moved most of my personal CL (left 1.5K for everyday spending) over to business. Going over 75K CL on any one business card required special approval, so taught by my BofA fiasco, I just moved excess CL to Biz Rebate (17K) and kept it open instead. Last week I deposited the BT checks for these two cards (0% APR for 12 months with $75 fee) into a local bank running 6% for 3 months promo (only on first 100K and 5.25% on the rest).

Well, they could not add mine and told me to use cardmemberservices.com.

One cracksmoking thing about Chase.com is that business cards cannot exist on a login created for individual users.

However, a login created for business cards can host personal cards too.

I called them up, had them delete my user, then recreated it as a business id, then added all my cards again.

But I was still stuck with cardmemberservices for a third party (lasalle bank) card.

Chase on crack, OH YA.

I CLR 2 personal cards to a denied personal application, I got 2 biz cards and 1 prof. in the last 45 days.

41,000 new credit, I only had 40,000 on personal before that and the last 15,000 of the 40,000 I had to send in bank statements. So it was nice to get the new 41,000 on the biz cards.

Yeah, I've found out the same thing. However, I prefer to keep personal separate from business anyway. Transfers between personal and business checking accounts would violate their terms if personal or business account had multiple signatories.

I've never sent proof and I have total CL with Discover of $27K across 2 cards. Granted, not much over $25K, but over nonetheless.

OTOH, I was never able to get the Discover dining rebate card that was available a few years back. Denials said something about having reached a limit on total cards issued with Discover. Didn't make sense, seeing as some folks here have around 4 Discover cards of various types, IIRC.

I applied for 1 biz and 1 personal Discover cards, and have total CL of 30K (25K Personal, 5K biz), though I had to fax some documents ...
How easy is reallocation of CL with Discover b/t biz and personal, and subsequent reverse reallocation?
