My EX is not frozen any longer and Zions happily pulled it of course, and declined my app based on state of residense, jerks. My wife's is still frozen - they sent a letter asking for the pin. |

All BofA accounts re-opened, albeit with much lower limits. I faxed 1040, proof of income and proof of assets, and even then they weren't very willing... Oh well, I am happy with my achievemnt here anyway. |

Also, I was just approved for Citi CashReturns with 4.8K CL. My wife got the same CL when she applied a month ago (reallocated more from Driver's Edge) and 14K on her Hilton HHonors MC, which she could not reallocate. |

You have to change the Hilton HHonors to a generic Platinum Select or Diamond Preferred before you can reallocate/consolidate it. |

If you're collecting Hilton points, the AMEX Hilton card is better for Hilton purchases and the Citi card is better used for signup bonuses and reallocating credit lines. |

Eugene, I was just reviewing your thread (not very carefully I must say), but a question popped into my head: could it be that BOA decided to close your cards when/because they wanted to do an account review pull from EX and found it frozen? Have you been able to glean the reason for the closing from your conversations with BOA? |

BofA auto-declined an application because EX was frozen and I called an analyst and asked to pull another report - that's how I got their attention. EX was never brought up after that. It was only my bill pay usage - cycling the same money, as, according to their algorithms, I cannot be actually "spending" that much. When I told them that I just want to keep the accounts open, even with reduced credit limits ("since I have plenty of available credit elsewhere"), they said it was "also a concern". I actually do understand all their concerns and I'm glad I got to keep the accounts. BofA limits don't matter since my bill pay days are over anyway. Sure, high limits in aggregate help keep utilization low, but as you see they can also hurt. |

EugeneV --- I'm getting real close to going back for my BOA cards and glad you've done some of the ground work to demonstrate possibilities. Are they true reinstatements (same account numbers and age) Is billpay available? (I know you said those days are over, I just want to know if it's available?) Also, can you document the process in more detail, from who you called to what was asked etc.....? Were your worldpoints reinstated? I'm fairly certain jairocon would like to hear about it too. |

I called the executive offices and they put me in touch with the right person in credit dept, and he gave me his direct number. I cannot find the exec number now but it was posted in FWF somewhere. Yes, they were true reinstatements (same account numbers/age and worldpoints balances). Credit reports were not updated with new limits yet. Billpay is available on those cards that had it before. |

SECU gave me 20K CL. I figured I'd apply before my CD with them matures. |

ask them for 30K, which is the true max initial CL. 20K is the limit if applying via the website. it's a glitch they can correct when you get your approval call. |

I asked for a higher CL in the notes section, but they have not looked at it probably. Never got an approval call - I just called them and asked. I'll try again when I call to activate the card. |

Citi pulled EQ for my CashReturns app (3 weeks ago). SECU raised CL to 30K. They pulled TU (when I applied, no second pull). BofA Biz just declined my targetted app, citing "You have an insufficient personal credit file" as reason from Experian. It is frozen, duh. They also would not open an NEA MMA for me for the same reason - I tried three times and even applied over the phone last time and asked them to enter a request to use another CRA in application notes. Applied for Wachovia (Personal) - initially deferred. Just called them - approved, but CSR would not tell me the CL. They pulled TU. Applied for WAMU ESPN card (0% on BT for 12 months, $75 max fee - just keep changing the last digit in the offer_id until you find something you like) and got 7.5K CL, but I asked for 25K BT on the application. Called and found out that they automatically reduce BT to 90% of the CL. It will put my utilization at over 90% when you add the fee, which is certainly not something that I would want reported - hopefully will be able to pay before they report. They pulled TU. Applied for M&T Biz, Cambridge Trust Biz and Woodforest and requested 24.5K BT with each - deferred. NWA Visa Signature (Personal) - deferred. ELAN also pulled TU - only one pull from them so far. Applied for TD Banknorth Biz (0% on BT for 6 months, $75 max fee) - deferred. No pull from them yet - they are either very slow or tried pulling Experian. |

US Bank/NWA app declined - "You will receive additional information on your application request via U.S. Mail in 7-10 days." Wachovia and ELAN pulls somehow disappeared from TU - I checked via PM123 and CreditSecure - no idea what's going on, as I have not been pulling my credit often lately. Still no pull from TD Banknorth. I'll probably apply for HSBC Biz (6 months 0% BT) and WAMU Biz (free Experian Biz monitoring). Any other suggestions? |

They will probably come back. The day after my TU pulls they vanished, only to reappear the 2nd day after application. Some others have noted the disappear/reappear phenomenon as well. Although I haven't leveraged that particular phenomenon, it seems to me that if you know who's going to pull TU, you could do some apps on Day 1, then some more on Day 2 while the Day 1 inqs are missing. |

I notied the same phenomena when doing an AOR recently - TU Inqs dissapeared for a day or so, only to reappear later. I pulled using multiple services, and they were gone from all. I got some others to pull while the inqs were gone, so that should be good. |

Applied for Associated and got 15K CL (instantly) - pulled EQ, as before. Not sure if I should consolidate it into CashReturns or save for 0% no fee BT for 12 months, that can be initiated at any time during the first 12 months. Applied for US Bank/Linux Fund card - deferred. My guess is, they attempted to pull Experian, like for NWA. |
