I'll probably apply for HSBC Biz (6 months 0% BT) and WAMU Biz (free Experian Biz monitoring). Any other suggestions?

Any word from TD Banknorth, and did you pull the trigger on HSBC and WAMU?

As far as suggestions, have you considered Compass Bank biz? The classic offers 0% BTs for 6 months ($75 fee.) Not sure of the lending area.

No, and no. The vanished TU inquiries are back, and getting a fifth one within a short period may trigger some unwanted reaction from Citi - especially since I need to consolidate Associated Visa into CashReturns.

The letter from US Bank regarding NWA card says that I "currently have the maximum number of accounts allowed of the requested product." Not sure what that means, as I do not have any US Bank cards, and my ELAN cards are issued through different banks and CU's.

Consolidated Associated into CashRewards - instantly (by a knowledgeble US Rep, around 5:00 PM EST on Sunday).

Wachovia gave me 2K CL... will call Underwriting tomorrow.

Wachovia underwriters suggested walking into a branch and speaking to "RCSC" there (Retail Credit Sales Consultant?), as they could not override the system-generated CL.

At WAMU, front line CSRs would not even transfer me to underwriters... I was hoping for a higher CL, considering how much money I have in a CD there, but I don't think their CC division (ex-Providian) can even see it.

As suspected, TD Banknorth wants EXP and would not pull from another CRA.

I got two more of those letters about "the maximum number of accounts allowed of the requested product", one with ELAN logo and one with US Bank's. And then I got... NWA Visa Signature, with 15K CL. I could not activate it though - was transferred to some other dept, where I was told that they need to verify my business information - yes, in connection with personal account (I've read similar stories here on FWF), how messed up. So, my other applications were declined, while NWA was actually approved - and immediately frozen. The rep said it was due to my total credit limits being too high. When I told him that I did not have any US Bank cards prior to applying, he clarified that he means total credit on the credit report. Of course, that's not what the letters say, but they didn't even get the card type right on those... Anyway, I will fax some documents their way tomorrow.

No word from US Bank yet. I was able to log in, but saw $0 as available credit, then I could not log in for a few days, now again I can log in to see $0.

Got a hard pull from HSBC (EQ) for just clicking "Credit Line Increase" and not submitting the form!

I got US Bank to re-open the NWA card, with 15K revolving limit. However, they have not approved any of the ELAN-issued business accounts. Does anyone have their business underwriters direct number handy?

I tried to apply for a pre-approved BofA Biz Platinum (with 0% APR/12 months BT offer, fee capped at $99 and 5% cash back in certain categories), but they just keep on trying to pull Experian.

despite win333's deletion's and althes' 4-6 word comments, I have this one bookmarked. You are a pioneer in "our industry," EugeneV. Have you received any PMs from other members sharing like or dis-similar experiences from your own?

Curious.... jack

I applied for HSBC Biz card in branch. Nothing so far. I also went to Wachovia branch and made them copy my statements and 1040 and fax it to local "RSCS" who can override CL decisions. Have not heard from them either.

they're allowed to do that without permission? what is supposed to be the advantage of having that? and would it automatically bleed over to the other CRAs?

alert mods

I don't think EX put a fraud alert on my file, but they did remove me from the lists used to receive pre-approved credit offers. I never requested to opt-out.

Nothing from Wachovia.

HSBC pulled my and my wife's EXP (I had to temporarily remove the freeze, as they cannot handle PINs) and declined the app. Not sure which Biz CRA they pulled, but 88K balance scared them (even though they saw my statements).

My wife applied and was approved for her second CashReturns card (10K, but they moved 9K from a dormant Dividend card - I wish they called and would tell them to consolidate). Citi also pulled EXP. Also applied for her second Professional with TYP (got a card in the mail - I think it is truly pre-approved, i.e. based on the same application). She attempted to consolidate Dividend, Hilton and old Professional into the new CashReturns - will post results in two days. CSR said she could not consolidate Professional, but she converted it into Dividend and then was able to put in the request to consolidate without any problems. She did not say anything about Hilton, but my previous attempt failed.

I think they subscribe to automatic alert of some kind.Based on such 90 days "rule" one should wait more than 90 days before attempting new AOR.I believe the may actually be closer to 18 months. In a conversation with a credit underwriting supervisor at USBank, she said my address had over 100 applications generated from my home address (via ICS report, I presume). I have done 3 AOR's in the past 13 months (inquiry totals are approximate):

7/29/2007 = 25 inquiries
7/29/2008 = 21 inquiries
8/18/2008 = 12 inquiries

Added info... I applied and was approved at USBank for Mrs Jackcrawfish on 8/1/2008 (MrsJ AOR1.0)...I then applied and have been fighting to gain approval at USBank on 8/7/2008 (MrJ AOR2.0).

Recent call to USBank asking for approval of my application yielded the following comment from a Supervisor:

"It's not so much the number of inquiries that is of concern, rather the volume of recent applications being generated from your address. Usually, VISA/MC has between 0 and 10 applications reported from a xyz address - your address was well over 100"
