The cards are starting to come in bank atlantic denied my wife because of the National Parks card. It may be best for those reading to only apply for one Juniper card if they are cracking down. I got 5K Juniper + 10K Bank Atlantic. My Wife got only $7.5K Juniper.

I must have hit a snafu with my Chase Apps because my wife got 2 business cards and the Sony card (still waiting on the Priority Club) with no problems. Bahhh I wanted the Sony card and the United card. I feel jipped.

For anyone out there that can answer the following questions I would appreciate it because these are new facts on this AOR:

1. Has anyone had success with CLI's with Chase on Activation?
2. Has anyone had success doing a CLR with Chase Business? Ideally I would like to close one business card to avoid the $75.00 BT fee and transfer most of the Sony line to business to avoid the other fee.
3. I got the Sony Card in but no where in the documentation does it say anything about the $100 for first purchase. Is this common place?
4. For American Express In Chicago do they provide a BT check or is it card to card only?

Chase told me I could CLR from my family handyman--->to chase biz card. YMMV

I haven't tried yet, I just did a BT to the handyman card.

I called Chase tonight but didn't try a CLI on my Sony card

2. Has anyone had success doing a CLR with Chase Business? Ideally I would like to close one business card to avoid the $75.00 BT fee and transfer most of the Sony line to business to avoid the other fee.

Chase CSR told me that you can reallocate personal to business and they will also direct deposit to your bank account although I don't know if this applies to the business cards or not. My call was for the Sony card and she told me it would not be a problem to do this.

3. I got the Sony Card in but no where in the documentation does it say anything about the $100 for first purchase. Is this common place?

This is an interesting story. The reason I called Chase was when went to Chase online last night to check about a new statement I had, I found out that not only was I approved for the Sony card but there was also already a $100 credit posted to this account. I was shocked and couldn't believe it so I needed verification that they wouldn't yank the credit away as if it was a mistake or something. She told me that after checking on this, it was mine although I still needed to make a purchase. I got the actual card in the mail today and like you, there was nothing in the terms about the $100 credit. So I would check Chase online or sign up and register the Sony card. You just might get lucky and the credit is there already.

4. For American Express In Chicago do they provide a BT check or is it card to card only?

Do NOT use the checks they send with the card as they are CASH ADVANCE checks at something like 29%. Use card to card only with AMEX. I double dipped BOA as I did a reallocation of BOA CL's to the Platinum then transfered to my bank. With AMEX, I transfered from my INNYC card to my BOA platinum and after it hit the card, I called BOA and did another transfer directly to my bank account. Hope this helps

I just used the chechs with the chase handyman card (I called 1st to be sure) 34000 bt for 99.00

Thats my experience and the check didn't say BT but it was the 1 check that came with the card

Foo, I just noticed that the discover miles card only has a 6 mo BT 0%... And I got a great line on that....

Just relocate the CL to Discover Business card.
Be careful using Juniper personal CC, they closed my account after I deposit the enclosed check.

So I have been rolling on the BT's. Citi's redesigned site sucks! You can no longer make a payment when your statement balance is $0.00. Last AOR I would make a small charge, then immediately pay it when it hit. All of the small purchases that were made to earn the TY points will need to be billed via statement before I can pay them off and get the Citi BT's. The BOA cards are MIA much like my Chase cards were on my AOR. Overall though, good success and no real suprises.

Use an external bill-paying software with a different bank to make your immediate payments.

Thanks. I use Fidelity Bill pay so I may give it a whirl. Although I am not losing any 0% time (just stretching the AOR out) because Citi gives 12 months from the first BT. I will try bill pay though.

So I just discovered an improvement to Citi's site! Now you can BT (via sent check or ACH) funds without calling the CSR!! Gotta love it....

Hotness. Now if they'll just do the same for the BT I overpaid to my Diamond Card, it would save tons of time in waiting for check to be issued, mailed, deposited, etc.

This option was there prior to the interface change ...

The Chase Adverse action has started see the second post in this thread for details! Total BS that they just make an account Disappear!!!

alert mods

Have you called Chase yet? It might be adverse action, it might not.

In my first orama, I got 4 new Chase cards. At different times, each one was temporarily frozen by the fraud department (disappeared from online access), and I had to call and validate info, and the card got reactivated. 4 freezings over 3 weeks. It was a big pain, but it wasn't really adverse action.

alert mods

That's exactly what happened! I talked with 3 different CSR reps and finally got it straightened out. I think it is total BS though because they have to send out a new check and I will lose about 2 weeks worth of interest. I tried everything to get them to extend the 0% or waive the BT fee, nothing. All they did was UPS the check out instead of regular mail. I asked them if this was standard procedure and why couldn't they just call instead of not honoring the check? They really had no answer.

On a side note I did get the $100.00 1st purchase credit finally so that was cool.

My wife also got the BOA cards in today and reallocated the NEA card to the Platinum Plus. BTW she does this with me on the speaker phone and says "talk to my husband" about all of this because she really doesn't care about any of this. While he was moving the CL I made sure that there was no fee and he said "I checked that for you before I started the process." I thought it was pretty cool to check that without being asked. I then asked for the DD to my fidelity account (UMB bank). The CSR said that he couldn't DD to that bank because it is a clearing house for outher financial institutions. I said that they had done multiple DD's to that exact account from my number. He said that he could DD it to a regular account but the previous CSR made a mistake. I asked why.

And I quote.
"Sir, when we are loaning out money at very low interest rates, the bank loses money and the bean counters only want the money to go to certain accounts. SOOOMMMMEEE financially savvy people use the money for needs other than our intended purpose. I can just DD the money to a regular checking account then you can do WHATEVER you like with it."

He was very friendly and we had a good laugh about it. My wife just rolled her eyes. This call was by far the most fun call with a CSR I have had. I don't even mind the one day it will sit in a non-interest account.

Of the big 3 (Chase, Citi, and BOA) BOA gets 4+ stars, Citi gets 2.5 stars (mostly for their idiot CSR's and the fact that many times you have to call back) Chase gets -2 stars because of all of the extra effort for both me an my wife and the almost blatent wanting to do business on their offers.

My wife asked "why did you even bother with Chase if they were a pain for you?" I said simple.... 49K in BT money, $120.00 in statement credits and 1-2 free hotel nights.

When I got my 1st chase account 500 CLI --->25000 on activation. I wrote the 1st check for 24,000 to my checking and asked the CSR if I could get my statements at my BIZ p.o. box, " She said sure no problem" so I wait a few days and make a 10,000 private mortgage payment (he takes days to cash it). The FREAKIN chase check bounced, which caused my 10,000 payment to bounce!!!!!

So I call chase and they connect me with the FRAUD DEPT., they asked me for social, password, Yada Yada, I was pissed. It's like talking to a freakin wall, " why couldn't you just call me" wall says nothin.

After private motgage was pissed, I got chase to send me a letter stating, that they stopped payment by mistake and that it was all their fault ( I think it helped).

I just wrote another check for 34,000 and you bet your ass I now call chase 1st and get the all clear before writing checks. Then I wait for it to clear. They are 1 touchy bank, they also told me I couldn't DD because I updated my phone #. NOPE had to wait 30 days to DD, even though I've been DDing to the same checking for 4 years.

Chase is great, I always have 0.9% offers on my old accounts, but ya gotta be ready for them to stick ya a little!!

Almost verbatum to my experience. The only difference is that my AOR account went from 160+K to 135K so no harm was done. I doubt that Fidelity will charge any sort of fee (if they do, I'll just call and I'm sure they'll waive it. They have excellant CSR). It looked to me like a debit on the history so I think that no adverse action will follow.

can anyone address my concern? only one of my citi cards has DD option for the BT money.
I called several citi CSRs and they are all clueless.
