Ahh yes I would agree with you IF the ACH came from another bank and did not reflect immediately when I clicked the button that the funds were no longer available in my account but yet no record showed up as a scheduled payment or anything. They appear to double dip on not paying you interest and charging you for the BT before the bt check is cashed. Pretty slimy on internal dealings.

Now banks like National City, credit the card payment and in a couple (up to 4 business days) get around to debiting the external account.

How I am getting the cash?

Juniper National Parks: Writing check that came with the card to myself
AMEX in Chicago: BT'd online to my BOA card from the previous AOR then I will call and have them DD the money
Advanta: BT'd online to my BOA card from the previous AOR then I will call and have them DD the money
Discover Miles Personal: Sending blank BT checks -> will not use after CLR to the Miles Business
Discover Miles Business: No BT checks BT'd online to my BOA card from the previous AOR then I will call and have them DD the money
Chase Cards: Reallocating to one business and one consumer card (Sony) then writing one check that came with the cards to myself(saves the $75.00 BT fee)
Life Springs: CSR is sending out a check made out to me
Citi's Drivers Edge: Used the checks they sent
Citi cards: Go online and use the BT offers to either have checks sent to me or deposited directly in the account.
USBank card - BT'd to my BOA card from the previous AOR then I will call and have them DD the money.
National City Business - BT'd to my BOA card from the previous AOR then I will call and have them DD the money.

With respect to the various cards you BT'd to BOA, did you BT them to BOA and call BOA to DD once or did you call BOA to DD after each BT? I know that if there are fees associated with the BOA BT, then you might want to do this BT once to minimize the fees. However, if the funds to be DD from BOA is large, say >$50K, would that be a problem? Thanks.

There was no fee associated with the transfer from BOA. What I did was max out the card, pay back the card with one or more BT's (coming close to 0 but always with a balance), DD to max the card again. Repeat until done. I did not wait until the statement for the bt's to post, just until they were available online.

What if my CL at BOA is not high enough? For example, if I did a $50K BT to BOA when my CL at BOA is only $15K, I would have to call BOA to request for a credit refund, right? Will this work then? Thanks!

Don't know I never requested a credit refund. From that point split the BT (if only one fee) between issuers that have no fee (like citi, boa, etc)

You don't want to have a credit balance with BofA. When I did this a few years ago with MBNA, I got a call from an analyst and was asked many questions and warned not to do it again. I have read more recent reports here that BofA doesn't take kindly to such games. I believe they think its some kind of money laundering.

Juniper National Park/none/BT or purchase/Free BackPack/12/$50/none/none

Did you ever receive your National Parks backpack? I applied for this card and did a BT (check) in September and have not received it. I called Juniper customer service and they knew nothing about the offer and gave me a phone number for the National Park Foundation that has been disconnected. I called Juniper back and they have now found the offer and they are having their offices contact National Parks to make sure this is sent. Just a reminder to call if you are interested in the backpack and haven't received it.

Not that I'm complaining considering Barclay's has generously given us 90K worth of BT money for 12-15 months including our Bank Atlantic cards for myself and hubby, but I think we'd use the backpack.

Yeah I finally got the backpack for both my wife and I. It really wasn't worth the effort

6 Month Action coming up:

AMEX in Chicago -> Payoff via new BT's from Citi and BOA from both AOR's leaving about 8K of the original 16K balance.

National City Business -> Just pay off the 4K. On my other AOR, I changed the online auto payment to full (from minimum) and even though everything went through it only deducted the minimum. I had to call and get the interest waived.

AMEX Business Gold -> Close, but if they offer me $65.00 like on my personal, keep open get money, then close

Chase Priority Club -> CLR the last 500 to Sony card and close.

BOA Royal Carribean -> CLR last 500 to Platinum and close.

Just to clarify the procedure here:
1. Call 30 or so days before they charge annual fee
2. Get "please stay with us" credit (whatever it may be).
3. Use the credit up.
4. Call a few days before the annual fee is to be charged and close/convert the card.

Is this what you're doing with AMEX Business Gold? If so, isn't there a risk of AMEX taking back the credit? Could others who've done this please comment.

Remember, when you request this, if they need to transfer you to another department, that's only open during normal business hours, then you're being sent to a credit ninja, and it might be worth not attracting their attention.

A little more adverse action of lowering lines (see tips and tricks post). It's silly considering payments are coming in and they are worried about high utilization yet they reduce the lines.

Net loss so far of CL 6K....
