Since past few weeks i have been pulling credit reports using true credit. Before that i was subscribed to citi identity monitor. Recently i got a one year offer for privacy matters so i joined that and i intend to cancel the other two.

Now my question is the three agencies mentioned here give me three different contents on my credit report even for the same bureau. Say for example, just for Equifax, privacy matter is reporting my current address as current address, true credit is reporting my previous address as current address, and identity monitor is reporting my previous address as current address.

Even my credit scores are different. For Equifax, TC is reporting 760, IM is reporting 712, and PM is reporting 730. Now i understand that there are differences among the credit bureaus but why are there differences among different services.

Sorry if this has already been asked. I search, "Different credit scores", "Credit scores", Credit bureaus and didnt come up with anything useful.

They aren't your true "fico" score . . they all use different scoring systems(meaning one thing on your report is weighted differently in one, than in another)

So are you saying that the scores are not calculated by the bureaus but by Citi/TrueCredit/or PM. But PM uses true credit to give scores. You have to even log in again at true credit after login at PM.

What about other info on the credit report. Differences in the report from the same bureau.

Each credit bureau offers different levels of service to the credit monitoring services. Sort of like basic, standard and premium services. The amount of information contained in each report increases as you go up the scale as does the frequency that the information is updated or corrected. There is also something called a master report. The master report contains everything about you EVER. It's not used for credit but I have seen insurance companies get their hands on them and the court systems can get them. I have seen mine and it was huge. It contained a complete record of my life. Credit cards, doctors visits, insurance claims, bank accounts, savings accounts, stock accounts, school records, college degree's and classes, court actions, property titles. It was a little scary.
Now before somebody rings in and comments about how it's illegal. It's not illegal to collect the information, it's illegal to use the information over a certain age for most purposes. This is where the credit bureaus break the master down to smaller more legal reports.
A fico on the other hand is a numerical calculation of your credit history and is represented by a patented numerical formula ( something like, score = 30%accounts in good standing+ 30% length of accounts +15% inquires + ect ect ect). To use the formula the company has to pay FICO but they can get around it by messing with the formula. Instead of 30% they use 27% and so on. Thats why they are never the same except for a true fico score. The rest are called FAKO scores as in fake.

The part of your remarks that is a bit odd is your current addresses. Unless you moved in the past couple of month? They should all be the same. If not send a letter to the bureau and request it be updated.
I got to see my Master file by being very sweet to a Equifax manager and taking her out for a while.

You sir, outshine all the fellow AORs and I crown you the ultimate credit-wh0re

vaylon, thank you for the detailed answer. I didnt know this. But this still doesnt explain why the same credit bureau is giving different information when pulling through different services. Could it mean that one service is saying daily pull but not giving a daily pull? Or could it mean that they do one master pull and then subsequently just pull the financial details only.

Again i can understand different bureaus having different information. But here i am talking about same bureau feeding different information to different services.

Starcrossed,
One credit service may not have the same service level with the credit bureau as another. True credit may get a basic file from Experian whereas privacy guard may get a premium file. It also depends a little on where they pull from. I can go to my local CB office and get a report (experian) and then come home and pull it from the Experian website and you would think that they are the same, but their not. The local file will usually have more out of date information. But like I said your address shouldn't be diff.
Do you have a common name? like John Smith. People with common names have tons of errors on their files and they should be looked at regularly and corrected.

Mikawl, What can I say? It's just me. But she really was a looker.

It's not just the information they have, it's how the services score the information to try to emulate and Equifax/transunion/experian score.

Nobody knows what each service uses for their information, but everyone tries to guess.

I've used TrueCredit / creditsecure at the same time, and creditsecure uses the same scoring model for all bureaus, and TrueCredit tries to create 3 different fico models.
