I went up to the last page of the checking account application, but didn't submit it. It didn't ask about checks. The fee schedule does not give a specific charge for checks. For those who have already opened the account, how much were you charged for checks? Or is there an option later to decline paper checks? (I want to make sure I have enough on deposit so that the check printing charge doesn't take me below the minimum balance to avoid monthly fees.) |

I just found out from CSR that this offer is good for only one account per household. Also, how do you get confirmation email when application does not even ask for email address? I am told by CSR that only way they contact us is through mail. I opened account on Monday with credit card for initial deposit. Still no charge on my Chase card. Isn't charge immediate? |

Just applied for both accounts and funded them with citicard. They are yet to approve the account. how do you guys check your available cash advance balance in citicard account. when i login it shows the available balance but doesnt show exactly the available cash advance balance. just want to make sure if ava. cash advance balance doesnt go down and this funding has been treated as purchases. I know I will be able to see it tomorrow or day after it post in the activity. Has anyone applied for multiple account in same household? My gf lives with me and want to apply in her name but she has the same address... |

It appears you can close your account any time without fee as long as you don't request a sight draft.
"CLOSING AN ACCOUNT—You may close your Account at any time. If you close your savings Account before interest is credited, you will receive the accrued interest subject to any fees described in this Account Agreement. If you close an interest bearing checking Account or money market Account before interest is credited, you will not receive the accrued interest. The Bank will charge you a fee if you close a retirement Account and transfer it to any third party. The Bank will also charge you a fee if you close your Account by sight draft. These fees are stated in the Service Charge Schedule"________________ what does the "sight draft" mean?
So I must maintain 250+250 to avoid fee until the bonus credited and I could just withdraw all the money and close them? |

I could not find the 6 month requirement. A sight draft is a check. If you want them to write you a check for the balance in your account at the time of closing, they will charge you $25. Draw the account to $0 before asking them to close...sight draft fee avoided. |

from what i'm seeing from people's experiences, funding this account with any credit card from any bank should count as a purchase right? so i could use the 5% citi cashreturns card? |
