Okay, this is my personal insight and assumption I experienced by freezing my experian report, so dont flame at me.
We all hear that there are no repercussions by freezing one's report. True to that, but you can actually hurt your scores. See, ontime payments, have increase my score points for the other two credit bureaus by roughly 10-20 pts in a period of 3 months. In the meantime, my experian (frozen) score remain the same. Somehow, it wasnt reading/updating my credit profile because it was frozen.

Now it has to play catchup

Why did you freeze experian for 3 months?

I'd say 2-4 weeks is sufficient to take care of any deferred apps.

WHAT?

You freeze your credit report, then complain that it's not updating while frozen?

What exactly did you think would happen when you freeze your report? It would go up but not down?

The report is updating, its your monitoring service that can no longer pull the updates. Remove the freeze, and you'll see the 'catch up' happens instantly.

A freeze prevents certain companies from accessing your credit report. It does not prevent your credit report from updating.
