mhesidence said:I just noticed Discover pulled $5K from each of my existing personal accounts to create the $10K biz card limit, bah.

What's the best way to get BT $ from a discover card? Will they send BT checks? None came with the card, but they did say they were sending "purchase" checks.
With Disc Biz you have to request that they send the BT money somewhere. No, it doesnt have to be a credit card/16-digit account number - any 'loan' will do.

With my personal Discover card, I called and asked about checks, they also said that BT checks usually follow, but I asked for them to send some anyway. I ended up getting two sets of BT checks. Biz card might be different.

With BofA, the holy grail is a card with zero BT fees. Then you can probably BT, or direct deposit to a bank account), pretty darn quickly. If you don't have zero fees, then plan B would be a card that works with ex-MBNA billpay and where you're lucky enough to have a deposit account that you can billpay to.

Otherwise, if you're just trying to get a credit refund, it's probably as hard as it is at most companies (i.e. random).

To update thread.

150 TY point received
$125 from card selections cashed.

Total BT money

$35K Chase biz
$18K Discover biz
$14K Bank Atlantic
$15K Citi (0% for life from ealier)
$20K AMEX
--------
$102K so I reached my goal, but with rates crashing I need to raise my goal.

The Bank Atlantic BT was a pain. I tried to use my Digital Credit Union card as a BT target (because DCU has no fee cash advance), but apparently DCU is too small to be on Bank Atlantic's radar. So I had to filter the discover biz and bank atlantic BT thru my BoA billpay choice. Used different statement periods to help reduce the chance BoA would think something funny was going on.

I can still reallocate some to the BoA NEA card and do a BT. Also can still reallocate some personal lines to the Citi Biz card, not that I have much extra credit limit with Citi without trashing my utilization.

Still plan to take out another 20k from AMEX, or gonna leave well enough alone?

Transfering so much credit to the biz lines I'll afraid it'll trash my overall utilization. I suppose I need to add it up and see.

FWIW, I've used my Fidelity billpay Visa to launder BTs a couple of times without incident. Damn, I love MBNA billpay.
