theman2 said:Why don't people update the quick summary with qualifying vendors when you confirm one? Excellent suggestion, that would save all of us much time/money. Guess people have been too busy with shopping... BTW, if you speak with Citicards to confirm whether any of your purchases have qualified, please ask for Citi to tell you the Merchant category code (MCC) and post that, too. Added: I called and asked Citi if Lenovo would qualify. Citi said they needed the MCC for Lenovo, to tell if it fitted the "electronics" category. Citi said they could look up the MCC, only for a transaction that's already posted into my account. I called Lenovo, wasted 40 min speaking to different people- they were clueless about the MCC. Called ChannelAdvisor- was told the person wasn't available. |

I'm getting ready to purchase a new PC for about $2k. Will I get 5% back with this Citi bank card? I was just on their card site and didn't see any of these offers. |

Frys.com shows up as Direct Marketing when you look at merchant type whereas Circuit City or Best Buy clearly say Electronic. So, regardless of whether Citi is going to screw people over on this deal, Frys.com is improperly classified as a merchant IMHO. |

If you look at your online statement and click on the hyperlink that has the purchase price next to your Frys.com purchase, a popup windows will appear showing the merchant category. Can someone else spot check their statement with a Fry's.com purchase and confirm? |

Alright, after about 3 weeks of investigation, citi sent me an Email stating that I don't have such 5% promotion on my account. Fine, I guess I will just switch my balance to my AMEX card. Good luck to you guys. |

A little bit late to the game, but I've updated what works and what doesn't from our last Citi statement on the Quick Summary! |
